I want someone here to prove, scientifically and beyond resonable doubt, that we evolved from single celled organisms. It's the THEORY of Evolution, just as it is Creation. It can NOT be proved by using science no matter how hard you try. Thus the debate will go on forever. As I said earlier, since recorded history no species has ever evolved from one species to another. Now we are supposed to believe I am from a single celled organism?

By believe that the theory of evolution is true, you are actually just putting faith in that. You are believing in something that cannot be proved

Sorry if you fail to realise that the scientific explanation is logical and has proof behind the logic and is not rivalled, if you can come up with a theory better go ahead and try. Are you saying that the dinosaurs never existed, or every animal was alive then and didn't get killed by the meteor? Are you saying virus’s don't mutate, and it would be impossible for use to evolve over millions of years, and we haven't seen anything like it in history despite the fact it takes millions not thousands. The best minds in the world are wrong? You expect us to believe that there is a invisible, undetectable being, in space, but is everywhere, in 3 parts, is perfect, had a son, decided to make us, made everything in 6 days, sent Jesus to spread the word, he actually cares about us, he has never shown himself, is perfect, all powerful, never ate slept nor drank, was never born, has been there forever, never did anything wrong, has a fleet of angles that are perfect have halos on their heads and wings on their backs, that everyone came from 2 people despite the breakdown in the gene pool, that Mary really was a virgin and had God’s human son, and sent angle to tell her, a hippy that was drunk and thought a burning bush said something should be trusted, God will never die, that every atrocity that ever happened was the work of this perfect being, he has never been tempted to show himself, doesn’t need air, your souls go to a perfect place that has never been seen or detected and there isn’t a location if you follow him and there is another dude who controls hell, there is no such thing as a bad person? i bealive the theory of evolution is more likley and logical then realgion. Like someone else in this thread mentioned, lets all bealive in the magical monkey who can live in space, thats just as credible as realgion except there were no fanatics to write books on it thousands of years ago and spread the belief.

Religion is as just as possible at the scientific theory of evolution they both dont have 100% fool proof material to show. And in the bible there are not even that many contradictions, matter of opinion. I could say right now that the world was made by monkeys that gave birth to single cell organisms and then we became a result of those organisms being with monkeys!!

I would consider most of the plant utilized by modern agriculture to be separate organisms from their ancestors. Originally the grains that we used hardly resembled what we have now. Specifically the mustard family was developed through artificial selection to yield different species.

Aside from that several pathogenic organisms have evolved making them quite different from their original forms.

Just remember this. There is a theory that states that the earth orbits the sun, and not that the universe orbits the earth. Now there has been centuries of experiments to back this up, but it will always technically be a theory.

Every time you drop something you are doing an experiment that supports gravities existence. It will always be a theory that bodies attract each other.

There is a great difference between believing strongly in something with a great body of evidence behind it and believing strongly in something for which you have none.

A hypothesis I have is that many people mistake theory and hypothesis. A hypothesis is an untested idea, or an idea that has little evidence behind it. A theory is what used to be a hypothesis, but now has lots of evidence behind it.

Another hypothesis I have is that most theological arguments between people of radically different beliefs end with these people thinking the same thing, essentially stalemate. With more evidence I would consider this a theory.

I hate to burst you and ORC's bubble, but Christianity is the most popular religion in the world. Its 2 billion members exceed all others individually, with the closest being Islam at 1.3 billion.

He wasnt saying that there were more Christians than all other religious members combined, he was saying there were more individually.

I really dont know, as Christianty, though being the most popular, is on the down. Christianity is losing ground and the other religions are rising (Islam at the greatest rate).

About China, Buddhism is popular, as are the "traditional" religions such as Confucianism and Taoism. Plus many athiests as well.
