Even If you cant afford to go to the gym you can find ways to work around it. push ups and sit ups never hurt. you can also just do your own weight for squats and lunges. you can do jumping jacks for cardio. you can also buy a bar to go between a door and do pull ups with it. Should not cost you more than 60 bucks.

hell invest in a medicine ball or a swiss ball. I own a 15 lbs medicine ball for abs.


Its sad how people like to make up excuses to not work out. Having a healthy body will benefit you in and out of bed. From a guys point a view of course lol.

Yeah, but asthma can become serious, even with an inhaler in hand.

He could die just doing running because of it.

My brother has Asthma, he has around 2% body fat (rough estimate, but you get the point).

If it is cold, put on another sweater. IF ANYTHING the fact you don't have transportation is a good thing. Walk to wherever you need to go. Find the closest gym, and instead of doing warm-ups on a treadmill or similar device, jog there. IT is what I did when I didn't have a car and needed to work out.

Diets don't work. Limiting your food intake without anything else simply means your body adjusts it'ss metabolism and slows, then when you get off the diet it kicks into high gear and you gain back what you took away from yourself.

With the exception of going to Mc Donalds every day for dinner and having coke in your cereal what you eat doesn't really matter. It is all about counter balancing the amount you intake vs. what you burn off. Exercise is the only 100% method to lose any weight, and to keep any weight off.

Would getting a Wii work (borrowing is an option too)? Apparently, they're taking the sweat out of kids just by playing a couple of games.

When looking into the exercise option, do something fun that will actually motivate you to lose that weight. If dragging your legs on the treadmill doesn't rock your world, then don't do it. Go take up an activity you know you'll definitely enjoy.

White bread is made from flour containing only the central core of the grain (endosperm).

The whole wheat stuff has the entire grain.
Whole wheat bread contains four times as much fiber as white bread - 2 grams as compared to .5 gram. It would be naive to not go with whole wheat. Simply better for you. Why settle for less when eating bread. Just my point of view.

Jason why dont you take up a sport like racket ball tennis soccer or heck paint ball would be fun too. Its not hard to exercise its just a matter of finding something you like to do. I love lifting weights because it gets rid of stress just like sex heck sex is exercise. Pleasure and fitness together -- nothing better lol.

Hmm another thought would be to purchase a punching bag. Get a good work out doing that. Maybe jump rope hell become a boxer lol.

ATKINS IS A SCAM! You lose the weight the wrong way and once off the diet the weight comes back...

Instead:

*Eat right: No late night meals and follow the food pyramid.

*Exersize

*start modifying your life to involve more use of your body (ex. walk-instead of drive, two stairs instead of one or jog up stairs)

*NO EXCUSES! MAYBE THE PROBLEM REALLY IS YOUR LAZY AND EAT TO MUCH SO NO TIME IS THE RIGHT TIME TO CHEAT YOUR PLAN!


It might take a bit more time but the results will be more long term and in general you will be more fit and healthy looking since you lost weight the correct way.

Considering I'm not doing Atkins and I'm doing the other approach I won't be losing weight as fast. I'll update with pics for every 10 lbs I lose. So once I get to 270 I'll post a pic.

As for the exercise, nuts, I'd do a lot of that if I had a way of getting to a place to do it. Like I said..no car. =\

When you open that door, and even do something like go for a walk or jog, then you found a place to exercise. Just make sure you carry your inhaler with you.

well bro I guess you are S.O.L. if your not willing to work around not having a car. I ride my bike to the gym at times or jog to save on gas. 3 mile run but its nice.
