Atkins works but only if you stay on it for good. Football players and wrestlers at my school tried it. Works fairly well but limits what you can eat to next to nothing and unless you stick with it after you reach your ideal weight like jenny said, you're gonna gain back twice as much.

You support the Atkins Diet? Sounds like you need to go back to school. Low carb diets never work.

Diets don't work.

Instead you can eat what you want, just get off your lazy ass and go for a jog.

Good luck with that, Jason.

I recommend you either A) Have Gym equipment or B) Have a Gym Membership.

True as well, I have eaten fattening foods before and I don't gain pounds. It's called moderation.

If you limit yourself in what you eat, the "diet" will become unsuccessful because you yourself will eventually become tired of the same old stuff. If you want more protein intake just simply go to your GNC or w/e sports supplement store and buy yourself some weigh protein. Take it two-three times a day preferably right after your workouts. All you need to do is eat healthier bro. Eat more fruits and veggies and eat out less. If you do eat out a lot well then I suggest eating out smarter like subway or ordering grilled chicken where ever you are eating out. As far as candy goes reward yourself every once in a while but don’t over do it Fruits are a great to curve that sweet tooth as well. I recommend full body workouts with exercises that are using more than one muscle group at a time to burn more calories for short workouts. Example would be pull ups instead of using dumbbells for curls or do squats instead of leg extensions. I also highly recommend doing cardio right after weight lifting. Might I suggest going to men’s health.com for work out suggestions and other nice daily tips, Hope it goes well for you bro.

You could also still get away with Pizza. Just make sure the meats aren't high in Cholestrol and the crust is whole wheat.

I decided against the Atkins, but for only one reason. There is about 99.9% NON-Atkins associated foods in my house. Everything in the kitchen is full of carbs and sugar and whatnot. So I've started eating more salads, some fruit, and I'm trying to cut down on portioning as far as not-so-good foods go.

Edit:

I have no car, and my transportation is limited currently (I'm saving up for one..) so getting to a gym isn't an option..also it's been rainy, snowy, sleeting, and frigid outside as of late..(lolohio) so I pretty much am stuck not being able to walk/jog either. Sweat + cold = Pneumonia, my asthma + cold = can't breathe, and that's just unfavorable conditions anyways..being so cold/wet..

Oh I didn't know you had Asthma, Jason. So I am beginning to see why you prefer diet. Well, I recommend finding fitness tapes and doing them in moderation, or finding a treadmill. Just time your workouts and don't continue if you think you are going to lose breath and pass out.

A Diet is a good thing, but you need exercise to get results fast and effectively.

With such an upbeat go-getter attitude like that, it's no wonder you're disgustingly overweight. Get off your ass put on some sweats and jog to the gym, that's the ****ing point of a gym.

Yes, but he just said he has asthma. But then again, I just gave him a workaround. Also, he can do light walks. And I have had to walk to school and work in -20C weather, so it can be done. And I do agree with you Dues Ex, he needs to get the motivation to get out there and start exercising.
