Atkins ahoy. I did it before..lost 50 lbs. and I'm going to do it again only more strictly and my weight loss goal is going to be set at 80 lbs. This weight will take me to 200lbs. I'm 6'1, big boned, and built with a large frame, so I feel 200 lbs. is an adequate normal weight for me. I will be weening in some exercise as I progressively lose the weight.

Wish me luck!

Current Weight: 280
Weight Goal: 200
Pounds to go: 80

I guess I'm the only one that saw that he was going to use the Atkins diet. The most nightmarish and unsuccessful fad diet of them all. Not to mention we saw the results of the last time you went on the Atkins diet- You are now obese. Why? Because fad diets never work. Usually what you lose in a fad diet you gain back x2.

You could just eat healthy, moderate sweets, and exercise atleast 30 minutes a day, time which you obviously have.

Anyone that can see this post quote it so it appears. I really doubt it will get approved.

instead of some stupid diet...try eating smaller servings, healthier ****, and run run run. 4 miles/day to start is good. 2 miles, 10 min rest 2 miles. eventually work urself to 6 miles with a stead 5 mile pace, and sprint the last mile.

Atkins works fine. Its better than a crack-***** diet, basically the Hollywood style.

I'm not taking the cut the carbs eat tons of meat approach, which contrary to popular belief is NOT the correct way, I'm doing the more healthy leaner approach.

Basically I'm allowing myself the 20 carbs a day as per the diet suggests, but the diet actually says that 12-15 of those should be from leafy vegetables..last time my carbs came from bread and similar foods. So far I've eaten around 5 carbs the first day instead of 20, and today I've had maybe 3. I won't be shoveling tons of hamburger and cheese into my stomach.

Instead I plan to eat small portions of vegetables, some meats, and cheeses, and other healthy foods. I lost 50lbs last time doing it the WRONG way. This time I'm doing it the right way so I can lose more and keep it off as well.
