Hmm, how about the idea for Terran and Toss to build in space? like... there was an ability to fly up, but its towards the end of technology line... and i think they should keep the same graphics... but increase the food count... by atleast 100...

A Shadow race would be cool... Except... if they have cloaking from the start... Detectors would have to be way closer to the beginning... like Protoss' observers are way far down... and it would be hard to see their base >_<!!! But hey... wouldnt that stop maphacking!? :D

btw, where did u get those pics?

hows this if they could cloak buildings and all units if the building was doing anything it would uncloak same with units

I think SC and SC Brood war lacked upgrades, there were some upgrades but there should have been alot more for more things like air combat upgrades.
Shit like that would be good to have in SC2

I think even more air units are in order because for one thing, having some maps that actually occurred only in outer space where only space ships could fly would be kind of cool. Also you could incorporate space stations, space docks, and other space things in with that idea. I suppose you could have some non-ship units but they would be very weak to the ships, you could have people whose job was only to sabotage enemy bases or units, they would have cloaking abilities or in the case of the Zerg they might just move very fast and have a large sight range. I do agree with the previous idea of having a low food limit like in WC3 because it does actually make the game more strategic and takes out the amass-attack type strategies.

what i mean relates to the shadow race there units and buildings would be cloaked but like if you were training a unit in a building it would uncloak or you were moving a units

They have.

But:

The protoss have their shield and their pshyckic skills. Radiation does not affect them.

The Zerg are specially made for that.

The Terran have suits and armors to protect them from that.

well the ting is it dont really look like they would be cloked. ugh now i cant explain it o well ill try its really like a liquedy unit like thing like an black oily creature that can blend in with dark things for example shadows

That would be really gay. How would like a zergling supposed to take over a building by hacking into it?
A good SC2 unit i think would be a zerg unit that could move under the ground.

Ok heres another idead i dont no if a similars has laready been mentioned but here goes how bout a zerg unit that is huge and slow but when it gets near an enemy it explodes and bout 10 smaller zerg like units pop out and attck kinda like a carrier but land and for the zerg.

Ok ive got a few more ideas for SC II

Terran Buildings:
Terran shod be able to build radar dishes that scan a certain area of the map. Also terran sinse they are the only race that can repair the buildings shod have to have an anual maintence or somit, and if a building has broken down it is more vunerable to attack then a fully matenenched one.

Also a new race That wod be cool wod be a Robot Race . And evry building has to be conected with a networks of electrical cables or somit like that. And all the units u build shod be able to connect to each other kinda like transformers .

And i like the idea of walls and if walls are included then so shod gates to let large masses of units thru.

Also the terrain shod be able to place underground trackers sort of like the vultures mines but they drill underground and track and destroy( or damage) any underground units like the transporting worms in there range of detection.

Also i think that when ure drone/probe/scv is built it automaticly gives its self a task. for egxample if the worker unit is left near a mineral or vespean gatherier it automaticly strts to mine. or for the scvs if there near an damaged machine or building like the medic it shod automaticly strt to repair it.

Also a trading feature shod be includd where u can give players or the cpu minerals or gas. So u can set up temporary peace treaty with the enmy by offering them ure resources.

And somthing i think shod be fixed with the protoss if u look at the protoss stargate there is a shadow casted on the ground implying it is in the air. But melee units such as lings zlots and firbats can shoot it even though it is in the air or mid air. Well thats only an idea.

Well these are only my ideas if u dont like them tell me y and wat u think shod be improved .

way earlier in this thread, someone said something about Zerg moving under ground, and it would be cool to have them tunnel like it would take longher to build a tunnel but once its built the zerg can move quickly(safely) through the passages

and the terran can counter by using a tunneling vechile that can tunnel(obvisouly)and allows marines to walk through such as the Zerg can

What do you think about it

Also Buildings:
A Bio-Chemestry Lab or just use the Science Facilty where you can build a bio-assault unit/vechile

ok i have a bunch of ideas.

first, they should have a small quantity of space buildings/units, none of which could like attack in a cheap way, but maybe more of a science vessel type thing, and also some kind of spy sattelite.

terran:
-Im a big fan of nukes, and this is an idea i have had for a long time. they need to have an orbital weapons platform(space unit) that uses mana to power a powerful laser area of effect attack. it would be targeted by the ghost, and would cause a line of lasers to rain from the sky and attack bases/units. it would function similarly to a nuke in that the ghost must target it for a few seconds first.
-i like the idea that someone threw out of having male and female marines, and just make it random when u press the build marine button that either a male or female pops out, but they have the same attack abilities just different models.
-the other idea someone said about trenches would be great too, but they need to make it like this: any ground units on foot can dig a trench, but it takes time. you get to choose the size of the trench, and when it is completed you can place small ground units into it. it would then be covered by fog of war to enemies, unless they fly over it with air units or come close to it. The trench would also make the % of misses high, but should multiply splash damage that is affecting the area(think about it, if you are standing next to a guy that gets blown up and ur in a trench, its gonna hurt more)

zerg:
-tunneling units. thats a must. it would add such an element of strategy to the game. what they need is to make it so like only zerglings and hydras can tunnel, and you must research to be able to build special lings and hydras with the ability that take up extra supply. and there needs to be some kind of limit, like if you burrow underwater u die, and you cant go thru steel walls or whatever.
-ability to infest units and take control of them. kind of like banshees in wc3, or mind control, you can build a special unit that will automatically go to an enemy unit and jump on it and take it over.


my god i cant remember the other units, but i had some cool ideas before

they need xel naga too, and they should be VERY powerful. but they like take a long time to build with or something. they should also have certain buildings that they could make that could like take control of a number of zerg units, or disrupt their activities(slow mining etc) until they are destroyed. the xel naga created and controlled them, so this should show through.

arghs i cant remember my stuff........ill post stuff as it returns to me.

Its kinda stupid....

well i have a stupid idea that i thought of just by the top of my head one day... a race that WAS underground... like if u were that race u saw underground and there was unburrow tech that put u on the land... tell me if u think its real stupid or not.



I have also made fusion units:
Z-marine: a civilian in a zealot suit that could attack with the blades or, there would be barrel holes above them on the gauntlet so they could shoot like a marine.

Battle wraith: a wraith with small battle cruiser side thingys

Templar rider: a high templar riding on top of a scout that could use psi storm and all the old stuff, but could use scout missles and bullets too.

i have others i just cant remember....

oh ya

rocketeer: a ghost with a bazooka on his back, he would have modes: rocket mode (he cant move and he sets up his rocket) and ghost mode (rocket on back, uses ghost gun, hes normal ghost cept he cant use nuke.

RPU-Rhett here, i got an idea for a race, space elves, a terran protoss hybrid... i got 1 unit... a psionic, he has normal high templar attack, psi storm, psi armaggedon which is like the lurker attack of sci, also psi shield, a thing of sci surrounds the guy and makes him invuln to ground and almost invuln to air... he would cost a lot




also there would be mercenarys that could land anywhere at any time on the map where u could buy some units like from a protoss merc you might could buy a zealot there would be a merc for every race. god i forget so many things...
tell me if these are good :)
