ok im posting los in a row cause im new and eager for replies :) and im a :nooob but i also keep remembering things i forgot about my tons of ideas...

water units and 1st person would bring SC to a big halt and screw the game up... anyway i just LOVE that trench idea make one all around your base and load it with stationed rocketeers!

also tunneling.... terran tunneling can be a small scv-size drill.
and toss can use psi energy or something...



ahh a new unit called an ultramech its half ultralisk and half robot and it is made in the infested factory.

Lots of good ideas, I especially like your idea on the new ghost unit with the bazooka.

But unless Blizzard makes some huge changes to how the map itself works, I doubt there would be some scv drilling unit.
It would be nice to be able to drill through a wall, of tunnel up onto a hill. But the way the maps work, once the walls and such are placed, there is no way to change them in a map, other than resources.

well these are good ideas but i got a great one. What about a protoss unit that can gather minerals or gases and utilize it as a powerful blast weapon!

oh i just thought of another. For the Terran what about a tank that can act as some sort of cannon not like the siege tank. What i mean is it is a total cannon that can fire a powerful laser doing severe damage. But the reload time is long and the HP is minimum someting like 150

Not bad ideas, but the protoss with the blast weapon would probably work better if it was a suicide weapon of some sorts.
Since unless it would keep a stock pile of minerals or whatever as a supply, it would be a one shot deal, or be too limited to be used much.
Look at infested terran.
Great weapon but not seen very often in a real game.

I guess your right crooked foot. I have another idea. For the Zerg what about a unit that can maybe absorb enemies and transform them into money for the swarm. But it must have low HP and be expensive

hh a zerg unit that can corrupt any other unit! that unit absorber sounds good.... but not much use.... its expensive... and it gets u mins and gas??

I think that a kick-ass unit would be a Protoss tank-type thing that treads along and then at a big battle it goes into siege mode kinda like the siege tank and then it projects a big shield around all the protoss units in a radius. It would be kinda like the arbiter except instead of cloaking you would be protecting. Also enemy melee units would be stuck outside so u could cast the shield around a couple buildings and then sit tight for reinforcements.
Obviously the Reflector as I like to call it would have to be very slow and not be able to attack so it would simply be the ultimate support unit.

Another cool thing for the protoss would be like a sonic bomber that zooms around and fires area-effect rings of sound, you know like in cartoons where you see aliens that have sonic blasters that shoot big old sound-rings. The bomber would do about 20 damage at the epicenter and then do increasingly less damage farther and farther away from the center.

I also think that the Terrans should have a full-time minelaying unit that trudges around, automatically dropping mines. I like the idea of an orbital assault ship but i dont think that ghosts should have to spot for it. The ship would have to have a very slow rate of fire and inflict a huge amount- maybe 50 points- of damage per shots.

I think that each race should have a new support unit and a new air-to-ground unit. Therefore, the Terrans have a minelayer, the Protoss have a Reflector, and the Zerg could have a new hydralisk aspect that has tentacles that attack like four people at once. Since they already have a heavy bomber, they could have a scourge or queen aspect that shoots fast and weak like a corsair only air-to-ground.

Na the shield would be wayyyy to cheap. I mean they already got shields on the units...now a shield to protect them! They would be unstoppable, expensive or not its not right.

oh i forgot to say that the Reflector wouldnt be protected so it would be like the arbiter: all you have to do is blow it up and there goes the cloaks

speaking of cloaking, all you whiners are moaning about moving underground units. I got news for you: thats just cloaking except burrowed units cant attack! so if ghosts are allowed to blast all the frigging enemies :shoot and the dark templars can choppemup :fencing i dont see why some lousy hydralisks cant burrow into the enemy resource fields and wreak some havok, seeing as how the zerg cant currently cloak and attack simultaneouly except for immobile lurkers (who suck, by the way)

Still lets that they would hide the tank in the back behind the army cmon thats to cheap. The toss already got a shield no more!

my 2 cents..

this thread is massive..so I just skimmed it...forgive me if some of these are repeats:
Terrans:
Marine apc...Resembling the one used in Aliens..that would be pretty fun to use

More use of mechs...sorta like the ones used in c&c:ts..leaving out the fact they were a flop...

Zerg:
Underground units would be cool..but then your implementing a 3rd level to the game: no longer just ground units and air units...also it will have to implement new barriers: possibly new defence structures to keep the nasties from coming up and under your base ??

Itd be fun to be able to research something so you can just eat the other people...this might throw the balancing factor out of whack..but when I think of zerg I think of them eating everything!

Toss:
Maybe a mobile shield regenerator...
Transport craft for vehicles (making up for the factor that Reavers are so silly slow)

Also it'd be cool if units made noises on the map excluding when you cilck on them (if you play Genereals then you know what i'm talking about) It gives a different feel to the game..the units just aren't silently sitting there..
Of course all of this nonsense is IMO..

I think the toss have already to much privelages with shield regenerations, theyre new units should not be associated with shield regeneration or protection.
