Mine. I'm sick of working on it so I'll call it done, unless anyone can find any gaping bugs and whatnot that require my attention. Would I be allowed to resubmit if there are? (before the deadline, of course)

P.S. We should clean up this thread of all the chit-chat so its not 7 pages of reading. Just only the important posts like map submissions, etc. and the established rules n' stuff as a single post at the top. Sound good?

I tested your map out Moof-Ader. I think it's great! Keep up the good work.

And PiNk PeOn, my map is a .scx, but just to make it possible for you to test it. I'm going to try as hard as possible not to make it a .scx, but at some points it is inevitable.

Ok pink peon, im here, I have a life out of computers you know.

I have previously played the fire fighters game but I dont know how to judge this thing. But so far, Fire Fighters is a 10/10 on Effort, fun, and everything else. If you play the game, you will notice tons of triggers in action, constant chaos in the city, and just playing the intro will make you notice how much effort was put into this map. The 'moving fire' buildings in the forest are a great peice of eye candy, the fire hose is a VERY beutiful work of triggers, and getting to load and drop off people in the truck is a SNAP. Everything was very clear, and realism comes into play such as running through the smokey mall, and avoiding fires with the invisble flaming bunkers.
Finaly, the city is a 10/10 layout, and of course, designing an actual city so big in starcraft is pretty hard.

In total, this map has my vote. 9999/9999

House of the Haunted

I belive the plan was to never rank the maps but to instead vote on the best one. Therefore you can't rate any of them until November 10th (due date). And that would only be for personal reasons to deturman which map is the best.

I would consider a map that receaves a 9999/9999 best possable map that could ever be created. Therefore playing any other map or game for that matter wouldn't even be considered. 10/10 is sort of the same thing but a lesser version of that. This is one of the reasons I score maps harshly. I think to receave a 10/10 it has to be in the best of maps where nothing could be done to improve it. The firefighter map very well may be the quilfied as one of the best maps ever but I havn't played it enough to determane that.

Anyways since people have started to submit maps here is mine,
House of the Haunted v1.2

If you really figure, 9999/9999 could be exactly the same as 10/10, in fact it is, it's just more precise of a grade.

And for PiNk PeOn: My map currently is still a .scm, so you're in luck. I'm still trying to keep it that way.:)

For everyone else: Yeah, I'm about 30% done with my map, I worked on it like mad last night. Expect an awesome map.:p

The more points there is possible the more significant the rating.

When working with measurements you may some times measure “56.300†This shows your measurement was accurate to the one thousands place. Although 56.3 is the same number as 56.300 the zeros are used to indicate the accuracy of the measurement. This is called “significant digits.†On the flip side you can’t just add zeros to the end because you would be lying about the tool/accuracy you used to measure the amount.

From that I can assume that 9999/9999 is a lie even though it is equal to 10/10 (or 1/1 thumbs up)

9999/9999 is equal to 10/10 or even 7/7, fraction wise, its '1', meaning 100% or 1. in decimal form. 1 is the ultimate. 0's after a decimal mean nothing unless used for mesuring volume with the metric system.

<offtopic>0's after the end sometimes mean hexidecimal too. Or more precisely either an 'h' after the number, letters present within the number (A-F), or else an '0x' after the number also indicate its in hex. Just a bit of code monkery stuff if your into that. Meh, watever.</offtopic>

I'm gonna make a new version (v1.4) of the Fire Fighters map soon, to fix some gameplay and balance issues. I'd really like to just get on with my life though, thank you, but this map absolutely REFUSES to be finished, lol. Anyone beat it yet, btw?

but by saying 9999/9999 u're pointing out that of 9999 different things to score in, it scored in all of them, like in 10/10, but here there're only 10 different things to score in, basicly the same, deep-thinkers often think there's a difference ;)
