I hope I didn't split someone's post that contained a map.
When I was splitting the stuff, I noticed that our maps were going to be voted on what map is the best and stuff, not on ratings.
meaning, vote for your favorite maps, no judges to rate them.
I give Pink Peon the permission to create another thread related to this topic of necessary for maybe voting or something.

I can tell from the other maps, that mine will get a 6/10!

So if your going to vote on maps shouldn't you play all of them? Wouldn't that leave Pink Peon Out of Judgeing? If you only played the scm maps it forces you vote to be for one of those maps you played. And depending on the amount of judges that jurasticly changes the accuracy of the vote.

Pink Peon I have nothing againsed you I just want to keep things fair.

Kenshin bound 2
After playing RKB2Beta, it was WAY better then I thought, minimal spaced used just for Kenshin's face in the background is a HUGE peice of candy for your eyes. I have never seen a better face in the back but originality take the bullet. Reusing 1 area is good for preventing noobs from dying, but there are apx. 50 diffrent bounds being played right now, and this one is no exeption. I may suck at bounds I must admit, but this one is deffinetly diffrent, but diffrent bounds are how all of them are. Disabled beacons and lots of sounds are a plus, yet the streaming music leads to everybody turning it off. I can also see your clan is |)ark, but thats off topic.

I would say vote for three, your first favorite, second, and third. For each vote you get, you get a certian amount of points, like 3 for a first choice vote, 2 for a second choice vote, and 1 for a third choice vote. That seems to me the most logical. Pink-Peon could be in charge if there was a tie or something.

Figures you would believe this The thing with voting for a map is you are pretty much forced to play all the maps. When raw ratings are submitted for an averaging there are differences in the way people rate maps. This weighs the maps differently. We have seen this just between You guys and Me I haven’t seen a single map here rated below 9/10 While on the other hand there are very few maps that I would give a 9/10

Lets take a little mathematical Example lets take 2 maps and 3 judges
Judge 1 = Rates Hard
Judge 2 = Rates Med
Judge 3 = Rates Easy

Judge One Rates
Map A- 7.2
Map B- 6.5

Judge Two Rates
Map A- 8.6
Map B- 8.1

Judge Three Rates
Map A- Not Rated
Map B- 10

Averages
Map A: 7.9
Map B: 8.2

In the Example Map B wins the contest. Yet all the judges that rated both maps Rated Map A higher than Map B. I don’t mind if you guys Rate the maps as long as you play all of the maps submitted.

Its kind of like taking the Average Age of all the people in a kindergarten class room.
( 5+4+5+6+5+5+4+6+5+5+5+5+37 ) / 13 = 7.4 ( 37 being the teacher ). 7.4 would be the average yet it poorly represents the truth.

I don’t want to pick on people but pink peon doesn’t have the expansion set. If he rates just the SCM maps voting or ranking, His say means more than the other judges and all maps would not have the fair chance to even out.

I hate to sound like a math teacher and what I’m saying is probably going to be countered with a “nope†or “it doesn’t matter†statement so you might as well ignore my post.

Why not extend the limit? God damnit battleforums was down for a week... I will not be a judge but then I wish to re-enter the contest and I will post my map shortly after somebody else posts..

Do what you wish your running the contest not me. I just feel that Since the limit was already extended it doesn't need to be again. I think that people who were planning on posting there maps were waiting till the last moment. Or we will just happen to get very little maps anyways like all the other map making comntest recently (here and else where)

I have to start a new bound because my cousins came over and they worked on my map and then they wanted to start there own their own map and i said sure,, but don't save over the bound I'm making. And of course, they erased my bound so I have to restart and I'm going to start over again. I will try to finish it by whenever we need to submit it in.

I played that under Single player and I got stuck when I think there was 3 addons. And one of those addons had a key in it or something. And it was the addon that was allies with you or had a yellow circle. Well I didn't get anything so I was stuck.
