Ok so time on map is General, and The Spent making map is Time you spent making the map? So What is the difference between time spent on the map and, time making it?

Do you consider testing and planning, General time? Or is that actually making the map time?
Or are you saying General is the time elapsed from when you started until you finished. While time making it would be accumulated hours of work?

And then your scoring the time spent? Are you docking people points if they spent a long time or are you punishing them for not spending time with there creation? You said “you don’t want to go insanely fast or slow†where do you draw the line? You or another judge may have never spent more than 2 weeks on a map while I, for example, have spent half a year from start to finish on a map. Clearly the reception of too much time or too little is different depending on the judges own experience and speed or determination.

and why do u judge the time it took to make map? as long as the map is good it doesnt matter if you spent 10 or 100 days making it

but if you absolutely want to: it took me about 2 months to make my map =P

I totally agree with you Starfish! You should judge on quality not how long it took.

Maybe in some case's.... be seing this contest judges your skill in map making does it not? Being able to make a good map fast proves very good skill but I guess I could take that off in points.
