Ok have fun with the terrain demon. As i just got wc3, and im still messing with the editor, im about the worst you can get at doing crap ass triggers. Im getting better with the terrain though.

Ok a few notes about the map that i need to mention, mostly about terrain, and a few things about the areas between different "fortress's"

Between the orc fortress (surrounded by farm land and small orc buildings) there should be a river as i mentioned before. Make the river quit wide with many shallow areas crossing it, don't take too much time here though.
In the center of the map is the huge human encampment. This is a complete "ARMY" encampment, not a town, so no walls and shit, but lotsa towers.
The night elves are elves, and they should be in a forets, small thing paths and clearings are what their territory is like, the forest should partially surround the human territory, and making tree stubs in the human territory would give a nice impression of the humans being "killers" in every sense of the word.
(the NEW part) The bottom right corner, after a lot of messing with the editor i decided would look best as a swamp. If it wasn't a swamp it would seem weird that no-one inhabited it. Give it a real "death" look, swampish water and a lot of dieing trees on the suroundin land.

I guess that according to my storyline, death is the theme here, so now funky stuff that looks cute. Gotta have lotsa death, lightning and fire here and there would be nice.

demon, if ur doin terrain... u start it with cliffs and shit, ill add some trees and fix up ur stuff also

Ok bout betas and crap:

Stage 1: Terrain
Demonmarine and x0rcist will probly be making terrain, demonmarine is currently working on it alone though,
Stage 2: Review
I will review the terrain to get it to go with what we're trying to make.
Stage 3: Terrain Beta
A few of us go back and add all the little stuff for the map, units that go inside the towns etc, this takes a LONG time to get it all right. (I suggest you all get aim or else this part will take centuries)
Stage 4(A): Trigger thinking
Here a bunch of us will probably have to think of what triggers we want in the map, and what the triggers will be doing.
Stage 4(B): Triggers
Frank and psycho probably will begin making triggers for the map, this will probably be the most intensive part of the map as we can't make mistakes here.
Stage 5: Extra triggers
Quests, items, spells, heroes and all that stuff goes here.
Stage 6: Movies
In the previuos stages we will have left room in the game for movies, and here is the place where we will make them, very small movies, very short, mostly they will consist of watching something happen then starting the gameplay again.
Stage 7: Beta
We go online and test it.
Stage 8: Fix-up
Fix up all the bugs that were in the beta, change it all, and test again.
Stage 9: Alpha
Alpha version, "pre-release" credits are added to the map, and we finish everything up, protecting and all that stuff.
Stage 10: Release
That's it, we release it, with all 3 of the scenario quest lines and everything.

Ok we don't have to go accoring to that plan, but it will probably work best for what we're doing. Currently im reading about triggers on blizzards site and learning how it all works, so i'll be able to help in the stages a lot i hope.

My last thing: We need lots of people to make this work. We're going to need:

3 Terrain makers/reviewers
As many trigger makers as we can get so people dont get bored doing triggers.
10 beta testers minimum (fun part)
Anyone else who wants to do anything!!!

SO MINIMUM OF 10 BETA TESTERS!! EVERYONE WHO WANTS TO TRY OUT THE BETA ONCE WE RELEASE IT (The beta not the full version) REPORT HERE!!!

Everybody that's helping make the map...failiure is not an option...we must not fail....WE MUST MAKE THE ULTIMATE WC3 MAP EVER....And I think I could try making the camera's..:sly :nooob

oh and pshyco... sorry bout the being in charge thing... i thought tass said demonmarine... so i posted quickly, and i should have looked, sorry bout that... and 10 beta testers? only 7 pplmcan play at a time, 7 or 8 whatever it is 8 is max though :lucifer

I never said 10 at a time, because of something i just noticed we may end up with only 6 playesr at a time instead of 7 or 8, whatever it was. But that's not a problem, to test all aspects of the game we will need atleast 10 by far, we need people to give us ideas how to make it better and all sorts of other things.

but for now let's finish stage 1, demonmarine, it's all up to you to get this terrain the way we're hoping. While your making the base terrain, im going to start thinking of the quests that we will need, and what iwll have to be on the map besies just terrain

ok i go the undead base in and this is how it goes... its a little smaller then it was before, but now its on cliffs like kind of a hill with the terrain lowered in the back, is you want when i'm dont you can change the buildings around, do you want me to just to the terrain and leave out trees for the other terrainer? and not do the buildings as well? cause you know how you want the buildings tass :fwink

I know how I want everything, but i can't do the terrrain myself because im about the worst it gets at doing that kind of stuff. You don't need to leave out the buildings if you don't want, but they will probably be rearragened later.

Remember, only tents and army buildings in the human camp, no castle or town hall or anything like that.

Hmmm, no as i think i mentioned they aren't exactly all "bases". The elves should be in the woods, their "base" should be made up of clearings here and there. The orcs have one major town (fortress) and it's surrounded by farming land and orc burrows, things of that sort. The undead is obviously surrounded by cliffs, and water after the cliffs. The river should go down from the top mid, around the undead ecampment, and down the right side of hte map, both banks of hte river should be cliffed. So techincally there are two areas thathave cliffs, the undead base (surrounde by water) and the other "continent" which consists of the otehr stuff.

you can do whatever u want x0rcist, as i wasn'thome when demonmarine was one, i couldn't talk to him more about the terrain. Demon, post up the map periodically so we know what it looks like each time you add something, try only making oen part for now, then well go over it and make it better, and do something else.

yea thats a good idea, do like a corner or 2 bases or watever and ill fix em up add a little style to em :D and repost it. then we keep goin til the terrain is done.

also im really good at triggers, so I can help out with that, or u can give me the grueling task of making text colored :p
