I actually tried that. I tried slow poison, frost breath, freezing breath(used on buildings), bash, and stun. None of them seem to work except for slow poison, and the towers don't slow anything even with slow poison included.

I also looked at several other frost and ice towers in other tower d maps and all of them only had frost breath on them.

to all that are making maps ...just look the others...for ex skywalker you were asking how to make a wisp go in bla...just open other maps that does the same thing you want to do...If you can't find then ask

It is easier just to ask because then you get a step by step answer.

I have a 9 level game (0-9) you kill enemies in it with heroes and it keeps track of score. How can I make the camera zoom in on the player with the highest score after those 9 (0-9) Levels?
Oh yea, and everybody is on a team when it starts, but when the game ends I want it to say that the people with lower scores then the person with the highest lose. I also need it to say the person with the highest sore wins

Make a Leaderboard

Just make a leaderboard... and i experimented with the editor with ur problem stucco.... i dont know why what ur doing works..... check out arks tower defense map and see if teh unit is any different that what u put ok? and yes id much rather u all loook at otehr peeps maps befroe asking me.. lol tehj froum has gotten popular and im getting qutie over loaded lol

I would just like to say to all the map makers out there, QUIT LOCKING YOUR MAPS. It's a little whiney ass bitch way to be an ass. The actual reasons are those behind open source. If it's good, people will copy it in their levels, if it's bad, they won't. Even if you do lock it they're going to figure it out anyways. I would love to see inside some of these cool levels to admire someone's work, but because they make it an invalid file, too bad so sad. Reasons to not lock. Helps promote creativity and a desire to design more levels, thus cooler maps in the long run. Someone could see something inside your level and realize there is this whole extra idea completely overlooked before, and create a new mini game, all because you didn't lock it.

Oh yeah. Don't be stupid and steal a map from someone. It's just stupid.

This's a responce to Stucco's question on 01-08-2003 12:41 AM about the worker not completing the building. I think that's because the template you made the building from is from a different race than your worker. I tried to get a peasant to build undead buildings. :p

Stucco, I think they lock their maps so that people don't come out with lame versions. Like if a map is too hard, they'll come out with an infinite number of easy and boring versions. I agree with you on not wanting them to lock their maps... I just tried to open that FMVH map with the blood borders in game and those cool pics at beginning and end of game... too bad so sad.

Playboi do you remember my question about tower1>tower2>tower>tower4 ??? Well I have a map that does that and is not locked... but I can't quite figure it out. AzoteVil TEAM TD (99 lv)

Hmmmm

Well the answer that comes to mind is very simple i guess... make a trigger and get your tower to be able to train units and rename teh units GodLy Tower and so on...
then make a trigger that says events: unit is trained then conditions are trained unit is = to GodlyTower actions remove trained unit and replace training unit with (Whatever tower u wanted... make the goldy Tower unit be a certain ammount of gold... it works for me..

Khono, if what you are talking about is each tower upgrading to a new tower then you can take a look at my tower d map. It goes from Spearman>>Archer>>Burrow>>Arrow Tower>>Heavy Arrow Tower>>Light Cannon Tower>>4 more levels

All you do is create tier 1 unit and tier 2 unit, then on tier 1 unit you go to the "upgrades to" and select the tier 2 unit. It should upgrade perfectly. The cost to upgrade is the cost to build the tier 2 unit.



I used the bad units from the 51 level maze tower so don't jump all over me for it. Not like I released the map or anything.

Here's a stupid question, how can you get it so that when you get to a certain area, a bunch of enemies pop out of the ground and attack?
And how can I get a mission to be to work as a team to defeat the computer's units?

Sin: In the editor create a region by going to the layer>>regions and draging an area on the map. Then rename the region by right clicking on it on the list.

Go to Module>>Trigger editor and create a new trigger.
Make event "unit enters 'your region'". Make condition that unit is owned by a user controlled player, and make action "create X units at center of 'your region' for neutral hostile". You could also just choose a color and make a player the bad guy.

You will also have to set player properties, etc.

Can you get it so that you need to collect 3 items from enemies and have them in your inventory, so that you need them to lower a magic wall barrier?

I haven't looked, but I'd bet you could set up a 'hero picks up item' action with conditions that all three items (use select item and click on it on the map) are in triggering unit's inventory and have the action do whatever you want. Not sure what you mean by the barrier wall or how you would do that, but the rest shouldn't be too bad.

Like in that one single player mission, The Oracle, you have to return an item to a statue, in order to lower the barrier wall.
The barrier wall is a doodad. But I don't know if it works yet
And I suck with triggers.

I tried the thing with the units popping out of the ground, and it didn't do anything.
I want it so that when my hero enters a small area in front of a building in a graveyard, a bunch of skeleton warriors/archers rise from all over the graveyard.
And is there a way that you can get units to speak to you when you near them, then they attack with their buddies? Like " I told you not to come here, now you shall pay for your insolence" type of thing?

It's gonna take me a while to get the hang of this all.

yeah, you have to make a region and then make a trigger that has
unit enters region
condition: triggering unit belongs to player x
action: for each a between 1 and 10 create 1 bad_unit_type for player bad_player at random point in region.

You have to do this one by one if you want random spawn points in the region, otherwise, if you said create 10 bad units at random point, it would put them all at the same random point. If you used skeletons or something then you could use their summoning effects too( looks like they raise from the ground).

Again with regions for the units speaking to you, do it with a region trigger. I haven't done much with the in game movies, but I'm sure someone else here could help with that.
