In Aeon of Strife, he has the 2 sides, and when you select a side, you automagically get allied with everyone else
heres my question...
How do u make it so that you alli everyone, without making the trigger a whole slew of times, without the alterations?
ie.
Conditions
-Player 1 brings 1 any unit to "Pick team 1"
-Player 2 brings 1 any unit to "Pick team 1"
-Player 3 brings 1 any unit to "Pick team 1"
-Player 4 brings 1 any unit to "Pick team 1"
-Player 5 brings 1 any unit to "Pick team 1"
-Player 6 brings 1 any unit to "Pick team 2"
Actions
-Set Player 1 to ally
-Set player 2 to ally
-Set player 3 to ally
-Set player 4 to ally
-Set player 5 to ally
-Set player 6 to enemy
-Set player 7 to ally
-Set player 8 to enemy

Conditions

Im not sure what your asking but your triggers are stupid.

If you want for example to ally a player whenever you go to a beacon then you could do

Players:
-All players
Condtions:
-Current player brings @ least one men to location "ally player 1"
Actions:
-Set player 1 to Ally


Im not sure what your thinking but when you combine condtions every condtion needs to be met at the same time inorder for the actions to be carried out

play Aeon of Strife 2, and at the VERY beginning you can choose either Shelek or Kharas sides.
I want to know do I have to use an AI script like enemy at location or do I have to actually use the whole slew of triggers for each?

Listen im pretty damn sure, that b4 the game even starts you choose by going to "team 1" or "team 2" while your not in game yet (b4 the briefing, when your in the game room waiting for players)

I haven't played ither. First off you ally players not units

If you want to ally every unit at a location give all the computer controled units at that location to a extra computer that is allied.

Im not sure this is what you want or what your looking for

==Trigger 1 Select Side=
Players:
-Force 1
Condtions:
-'Current player' brings 'at least' 'one' 'civ' to location 'Side A'
Actions:
-modify deaths for 'Side A (unused unit)' to 'set' to '1' for 'current player'

==Triggers Ally Others==
Players:
-Force 1
Condtions:
-'current player' has suffered 'exactly' '1' death of 'Side A (unused)'
-'player 1' has suffered 'exactly' '1' death of 'Side A (unused unit)'
Actions:
-Set alliance status for 'player 1' to 'ally vic'

im you did the last trigger for each player then then all the players would ally all the neccary players (this is a way to use current player to your advantage)

then you would do the same thing for the other side

To simplify the condtions: The condtions can be read "you are team A" and player X is team A"

the Death counts may be replaced with custom score or minerals. a switch can NOT be used for this

now, I am almost done the map...call me a :nooob map maker, but here it is so far (Without the triggers of the last post)

**note - IT IS NOT DONE, and i've spent somewhere near 2 weeks to make it like this

Also, one of my triggers is pissing me off...I just can't seem to get it to work
its the one where player 8 creates all its units...it just doesn't work

Hmm this is pretty much your trigger:

Player 8
---
Switch A, B, C, D are cleared
---
Create units...

Then you did this:

Order units at A to B
order units at A to C

you can't order them twice in the saem trigger??

Also, just to make sure you know, all switches start cleared. (Just want to make sure yoiu knew this.

yes I realize,
thats why I started them like that...
but the units just won't friggin create...
thats my problem!
I sent them from a to b then a to c?
are u sure its not a to b then b to c?...
...
...
I think I figured out my problem...
cause player 7 is before player 8, it does the p7 trigger than randomizes....
so I think that I have to make them for the same player. I don't know...Any suggestions?

Dirty elf yes use other editors like Platinum Aspect, Zap Place, him(I don't know the complete name of this editor)
The best is SCXE.
