I'm getting the C/I Error also. Any tips on how to get rid of it?

reinstall is all i did and i dont get it at all, i have a feeling it doesnt have to do with loader since i was getting it even when i didnt have it installed along with other people.

just slap the 2 files into your d2 directory and run the d2 loader its WICKED simple

I've read on other forums (the new Blizzhackers forums to be exact.. and I don't trust them now that they don't have any of the old mods or admins) that blizzard is scanning for dlls (obviously with the map hack bannings) but that they are also scanning for d2loader and that people are/have gotten banned simply from using d2loader and nothing else. I was wondering if there was any fact behind this. I like many was banned. I was running d2loader as well as easymap. However, due to a lucky draw, I have been able to aquire a new cd-key from a friend of mine who quit the game a while ago. As would be expected, I am trying to be more cautious this time around.

i downloaded the zip, extracted to desktop. i then renamed to diablo ii.exe and replaced the file in the directory. i then made a shortcut to the dektop. neither do anything when clicked on.

was i not supposed to REPLACE the file?

I read the entire thread and Im still not sure what to do.
I don't have a plugin folder and i keep getting a pop-up that says "We have a big error here". Someone please help.

I noticed in the sticky that it says this "doesn't have the Warden responses implemented", this is incorrect. D2Loader is just a loader, the D2Client.dll is still just as functional as if loaded by normal means. The only reason you get dropped from games is due to a conflict on bncache.dat -try force closing the first handle to bncache or renaming bncache.dat before starting the 2nd D2Loader and it will work fine. If you name it "Diablo II.exe" it should IMO be pretty hard to spot, at least until Warden does memory scanning if it doesn't already (in which case pretty much all hacks can be 'detected')
