1.11 d2 no-cd loader by R1CH

EDIT: Hmmm. Another problem. There is already a file named Diablo II.exe in the diablo folder. What do I do with that? just change the name temporarely?
I changed the name but it still wont run. It just shows the arrow/hourglass and wont run. Do you think it will have anything to do with that one of my CD drives is in the shop and the other is non-functional right now?

@Chocofilez: For stuff like that, I just add a .old behind the .exe part, it doesn't madder what you do with it, but I like to keep the old ones just for safekeeping. And for your other problem, have you done everything correctly to setup the no-cd part. (If you need to check the 1.10 sticky for instructions. [Its number 9 in the list.] [Also, there is a link for all of the files in the sticky at the top of the sticky.])

Also, I didnt find a folder named plugins. Do i still have to delete everything that ends in .dll?
I looked on the sticky. Do i follow all the instructions there? With the CD key refiller? I wanted to use this loader because i have no CD, so if i need it im gonna have to wait :-/.

Make an empty folder called plugin, no you don't since you dont have anything in your plugin folder, yes you do follow the instructions in there (#9) the onlyer pack has the cd-key refiller in it. Im not sure, but i believe they are also hosting the mpq files you need for the no-cd loader if you dont have your disks anymore.


@Borat: If you read the entire thing, you would have read this post here:

I use Jotti's scan on a regular basis and something everyone might want to note, after scanning the file myself 3x times is this.

" POSSIBLY INFECTED/MALWARE (Note: this file has been scanned before. Therefore, this file's scan results will not be stored in the database) (Note: this file was only classified as malware by scanners known to generate more false positives than the average scanner. Do not consider these results definately accurate. Also, because of this, results of this scan will not be recorded in the database.) "

Given that Fortinet seems to be the only one finding anything I would assume it is most likely clean and is a high possibility of being a false positive. Kaspersky has one of the best, if not best, records in terms of detection rates and it comes up clean. If you are not satisfied with those results you could always submit the file to various AV vendors and see what their engineers have to say. It might take a while to get a response because the traffic to them is fairly high at the moment however you should get a response.

Again it has a high possibility of being a false positive. Given that it is detecting it as a "trojan dropper" it could easily be misinterpreting the file.

Edit: I have scanned the file myself with BOClean (one of the best anti-trojans out there) and A-squared and both say it is clean. I have to say this is most likely definitely a false positive.

j/w, i cant seem to use this d2loader in Window Mode, wut i did was made shortcut to it, and then after "" i put in -win like i always do, but it always jst comes up full mode.

are there new keys for the new d2loader or is it jst not possible to be in window mode? ty

Hey people, Im having major problems. Ok i downloaded that loader, At first it worked fine, then next time ilogged on i had the same problems others were talking about, I would join a game then after about 30 secs i would get conec interupted. So i shut my pc down for awhile, Came back later & it was all good again. Now all day yesterday I was lagging so bad that i could use a full rejuv pot & like 1-2 sec would pass before it would register inthe game (Thanx to that i had a really bad day, much exp lost), So due to the lag i got irritated & gave up. Ok now Today I cant get on battlenet AT ALL!! I click the button to join battlenet & all it does is querry gateway & It wont go any further this is insane. I didnt change anything & it was working yesterday now i cant even log on every other game & program i got is working fine I cant figure out what is going on, except for maybe that file is infected somehow, If anyone knows anything or can help in any way plz do so, Thank you for any help or info. i took the loader off and the c/i problem still occurd. Forced to reinstall d2 and now it works fine, its a problem with bnet, not with loader even kids that have never used loader have been reporting this problem.




And yes the loader does work without cd in drive.. thats mainly what it was made for.

Look at the 1.10 sticky, it tells you exactly how to do it! I have said this over 5 times in these forums in the last 2 days, just becasue the sticky says 1.10 doesn't mean that everything in there doesn't work.

Problem solved by the new v1.11 sticky.

weird.. make sure you dont have ANY plugin folder at all, delete it or rename it. Also look to see if you have Video.mpq(if you use the cinimatics full) and d2music.mpq

if they arent in there and you need them you can copy them from your d2 disk if you have it, that might be the problem.

problem was I didnt have D2XVIDEO.MPQ and D2XMUSIC.MPQ in d2 folder. everything runs good now, thank you for the help

I have barely had any time to test this beyond the initial release or even look at v1.11 much more. In about 10 days I should have some more free time and I'll see about this multiple clients C/I thing. If anyone else notices anything else wrong with the LOADER ONLY I'll see what I can do. Don't complain about plugins, there is nothing I can do for those until the authors fix them for v1.11.

I have trouble.. every time i run this new loader with more than one key.. i.e 3 diablos going at once.. i noticed i get booted from games on a consistent level and this is just with the loader.. wonderin if anyoen else havin teh same problem
