hmmm thats wierd, i just scanned it again and it came up clean... I scanned it twice before and the same trogan came up. And I dont see how i could have scanned the wrong file since it is the only one in the folder, and it even said I scanned it before. So im now im realy confused lol, I have no idea why it would come up like that... anyways I guess it is clean, and Ill edit my post. Sorry about that I just figured I would check it agin before I used it, and I was realy supprised when it said it found a trogan. I guess that scanner must have screwed up or something.

I use Jotti's scan on a regular basis and something everyone might want to note, after scanning the file myself 3x times is this.

" POSSIBLY INFECTED/MALWARE (Note: this file has been scanned before. Therefore, this file's scan results will not be stored in the database) (Note: this file was only classified as malware by scanners known to generate more false positives than the average scanner. Do not consider these results definately accurate. Also, because of this, results of this scan will not be recorded in the database.) "

Given that Fortinet seems to be the only one finding anything I would assume it is most likely clean and is a high possibility of being a false positive. Kaspersky has one of the best, if not best, records in terms of detection rates and it comes up clean. If you are not satisfied with those results you could always submit the file to various AV vendors and see what their engineers have to say. It might take a while to get a response because the traffic to them is fairly high at the moment however you should get a response.

Again it has a high possibility of being a false positive. Given that it is detecting it as a "trojan dropper" it could easily be misinterpreting the file.

Edit: I have scanned the file myself with BOClean (one of the best anti-trojans out there) and A-squared and both say it is clean. I have to say this is most likely definitely a false positive.

seeing as ive never had use for a loader, does it work like a crack? ( like you can play diablo without a CD in?)
Also, where and what is the D2 directory? Is it just that folder in the program files folder?

I have no plugins folder, just wont load unless cd is in? any other problems?

I have the same problem...I believe there are a couple .mpq files that need to be copied from the Diablo II CD-ROM, but nobody seems to know what they are (help anyone?).

Yes, a loader is a program that allows you to play Diablo II without your CD in.
Yes, the Diablo II directory is the folder that's usually found in (if your hard drive is C) C:\Program Files\Diablo II

Ok, I copied video and music from the expansion after I installed R1CH's loader. I loaded the shortcut and the "There is no disc in the drive." screen popped up. I clicked continue, and Diablo II loaded up. Odd, but it works! Thanks for the help everyone!

Look at the 1.10 sticky, it tells you exactly how to do it! I have said this over 5 times in these forums in the last 2 days, just becasue the sticky says 1.10 doesn't mean that everything in there doesn't work.

Hey guys, I was getting a connection interrupted error every 30-60 seconds as a few people were saying earlier. The problem seems to have disappeared. I deleted a few files were created to overwrite some old ones that were suspected of being able to detect hacks. All were blank files, read-only, and hidden:
bncache.dat, IX86ExtraWork.mpq, IX86ExtraWork.dll

I also got rid of my D2Loader crash logs D2050804.txt, D2050803.txt, D2050731.txt

Looks like things are running kind of smoothly, although everything seems a lot more laggy now. Like commands don't register to the game as fast as they used to.

And to unzip i can just drag it from the winzip file right?

Lol. so many questions. Do i rename just it just Diablo II? or do i leave the .exe?
Do i need to have put the cinimatics disk on the computer? (i chose not to install the cinimatics)
And right now, i named it Diablo II (deleted the .exe also) and it asks me what program i want to run it with? whata did i do wrong?

Ok,
1) Yes it works well, 2) I think the servers are just lagging today, 3) yes you can just drag it from winzip, 4) your plugin folder should be in your daiblo II folder, 5) no, you will just have to click cancel everytime you finish an act for the quest, 5) add the .exe back on it and it will work perfectly. Hope this helps

Mines giving me the C/I now also.. and major lag issues if its not.. im ganna try to play without the loader from cd for a day or so, if its better ill msg you and hopefully r1ch will find a fix.

Ive been playing for about to hours now with my cd and not using the no-cdloader.. everygame i goto i still get the c/i message after about 30 seconds..
