Why exactally are we trying to get rid of the hacks?

First off......anyone who says hacks ruin the game is..A HACK (no pun intended).....seriously, look at the statement.....first of all. its not sports, youre not using anabolic steriods or meth to up your performance......for gods sake its A COMPUTER GAME !!!! LIGHTEN THE **** UP!!!! If you dont like people hacking......why not let yourself hack back???? If everyone hacked we wouldnt be having this discussion and people wouldnt have to spend hours upon hours leveling up their gay javazons on d2.......or are you too good for that??? Hacks dont ruin the game in general....they only ruin it for those who attach moral fiber to the game.......morons...

Silynt PMed me before because I asked him why he was leaving. His reasons had nothing to do with being "ousted by dicks who ganged up on him".

Interesting considering that I'm probably one of the "dicks" that you think ganged up on him. I actually was kind of sad to see Silynt go. I agreed with him on a lot of points. I just didn't agree with his ideas to remove the hacking sections, the asylum, and AS.

I came for the hacks.
I enjoyed the hacks.
The hacks made me rich.
I quit playing the games i hacked on.
I still visit these forums regularly.
But seriously i think for my first 3 or so months i didn't post anywhere except d2 hacking i loved the section. Now i don't post there at all, but its sad to think all these newbie wanna be hackers for these games won't have a place to go on these forums. "true players don't need to hack"? true players don't give a shit about a game thats 4 years old that rarly if every gets patched, they've moved on.

Play StarCraft then.

7 years old, patched rarely, and it's one of the most played games on the net.

Besides, I don't think you all didn't get a thing... There's still a Diablo Hacking Section.

The hacks here used to be good then noobs came and now they suck, this used to be one hell of a hacking community and now I NEVER go to the hacks section...

I came for the hacks

the reason being is that you have nothing to lose in D2 as there is no skill involved in having someone rush you to be able to cow for hours on end to create that cookie cutter character.

in war3 and SC and most FPS games, you have a record that lets you show your skill to other players, (you see a guy with 100 wins and 5 losses, you know he is good) but if those 100 wins are from hacking then thats just unfair. also keep in mind that there are "professional" players that play SC and War3 for money, (cecil on war3 makes 2k dollars a month because of sponsors) and hacking is a sad way to attain that goal.

ask anyone in battle net about battleforums and you will find out that we are notorious for being cheaters. it sucks having an accnt that you spent months on fairly, but having your honesty questioned because of where you are affiliated with.

My old SC account was like 3k-10-200ish.

Granted I ran it on two computers and did a quick rush to win just about 2.9k of those games. Does that make me good?

I never played sc but from my exp with war2 records mean shit. I was one of the best at what I did and most of my accounts where around 800-200.

On the name I did compstomps on however I was around 1000-0 so actually more newbs have beter records than good players.
