Every unit is useful, it's more on how you use them that's the question.

The only unit a ling stands a chance against is a Dragoon. They have fast attacks and take 1/2 dmg from Proton Blasts. However, that doesnt mean you can have a super large army of Dragoons to counter that weakness. Hydralisks are the best unit for taking out protoss, until you get to the Zealot's armor, then you're doing 1/2 dmg to them! Against Dragoons, Hydras win ^_^!

I think a ling 1v1 against a rine wins. I remember testing this out before. The rine doesn't move and there are no upgrades. The ling comes up and kills him. I think a ling also wins against a scv.

SCV's grouped with Marines and microed right can provide excellent cover for the ranged marines. The Zerglings would be stuck fighting the SCVs while the Marines shoot from afar.

Yeah, Bahamut, 1 on 1, Zealot will slaughter a Marine. With no upgrades, the Marine will only be able to chew thru the Shield before he's turned to mush. And you're still saying a Marine will kill a Zeal 1 on 1? Is this on even ground, or are you assuming the Marine is on a ledge or something....

Now, he might do more damage with Stim, but that'd also give the Zeal an added bonus considering the Rine loses 15 health points.

Actually, they wouldn't even be fighting the SCVs. Any military unit will attack other military unit even if surrounded by workers. And then it'll start dancing under the shots.

That's why the SCVs provide cover for the Marines. And yes you're right, if you attack move the Zerglings will target the Marines, but SCVs are chunky and can encompass a Marine if you have enough (5 should do it, not like you'll need to anyway).

Hydra can own Zealot, but not by himself!

Welcome to the world of Micro Challenge!!! In one level you have 5 scvs and 3 rines. Using this army you kill 6 Zealots without losing your men. Go to a wall, group your rines together! Then, seal them within the SCVS. What should happen is the zealots cannot reach your rines and they are too stupid to worry about the SCVS (unless they attack them). Dont forget to use Hold Position ^_^
