i was on 42nd street out for my free period with friends.. i saw the planes hit and it was horrifying..

I was in school, and all the teachers were yapping, so i knew something was up. Then came home and my mom told me.

i was on school camp in canberra. i had no idea what it was, so at the time i didn't care, UNTIL I SWITCHED CHANNELS AND IT WAS EVERYWHERE

OMFG, THE TRADE CENTER'S WERE BOMB'D!!??!?!? I THOUGHT IT WAS PLAINS BEING FLOWN INTO THEM!!! =/ anyways, i was waking up from a nap in french class. Sadly me and my friend were the only people to pass that class.... i slept all the time, i dont get it, lol.

I was just leaving for the bus, then my dad called and said to turn it to the news and then for the day at school(I was in 6th Grade) we watched it the whole day so it was really easy, but it sucked that it happened.

I was standing watch on base, and my boss came to relieve me so i could see it on tv... because i did not believe him when he told me. It took me 4 hours to get off base so i could go home, I had 3 days off when noone but security was allowed on base.

I was at my school library. I learned about it when I went into Social Studies. My teacher had it on TV.

I was in school. We didn't have tv's (and still don't) but I found out what happened later that day.

and they even sent us home an hour after it happened, security issues, they thought downtown chicago would be next

Happened around 9:30PM Malaysian time. I was going to bed 'cos school was next day, then the news came on when it wasn't meant to, but I was too tired. So I switched off and fell asleep.

Next day everyone was talking about it in school, I thought it was a suicide bomber or something, but the whole of The Star (one of the Malaysian papers) was on the WTC. Stock markets plunged too.....

There was a thread on this already, anyone remember?
