I do 1v2's all the time and I don't play with newbs, I play with people who rank high in the ladder (without cheating it) or players that are just good. I have never won, but I get a ton of practice out of it.

And it is possible to own 75% of the map on 2v1. Especially on LT, I have done this myself, but didn't win because I got nuked at my main base so I panicked and went for lots of Lurkers and Guards. If I wouldn't have panicked I probally could have won that game, but that was in my newbie days.

Ya, panicing can lead to major defeat. i know first hand, and i am not proud of it, but i am glad to say, i have controled the urge to attack with pathetic units, because i think im dead.

It's all about staying calm. It is possible to break out of a containment or to counter carriers as long as u dont panic and waste ur units.

You know, when ever someone mention nuke i get this feeling that the game involved newbies.

Actually, nukes are good. Sometimes i even see progamers using them. They destroy a nexus in 1 hit. In TvT or TvP u will sometimes allready have the ghosts to lockdown carriers or BCs so why not get a nuke as well?

Nuke rushes vs protoss can be good too.

Well it was 2v1, you think their not gonna have any fun with it and yes I was a newbie back in that day

We were all newbies once. And nukes are fun to use. I send in about 3 meds, 3 marines and 2 ghosts. Medics to heal, marines to take the fire (hopefully) and 2 ghosts to nuke each! I did that vsing a Zerg player on hunters
