Hmm, the saddest part about the whole September 11th thing is that it could have been prevented, but Bush is a dumbass and ignored the entire situation. Part of that is how Bush was on vacation for most of his first year of office up until about the time of 9/11. The whole thing doesn't really make me sad, I didn't know anyone in the twin towers when they were attacked and nowadays it doesn't really have much effect on me. About the only feelings I have are anger, mainly toward Bush and his money grubbing hands, along with the rest of his family for that matter.
In reality, 9/11 was a reminder that Bush really is an asshole who likes to do whatever the Hell he wants, reguardless of the consequences it will have on anyone else, namely the innocent civilians in American, Iraq, and anywhere else that he wants to mess up. One other thing I want to say is about soldiers sent to Iraq. My best friend is in the Navy right now, and he knows a lot of people who have been are going to Iraq and other areas of conflict, and the main question on their minds is "why are we doing this." I mean, basically they are just doing their duty in the army, air force, marines, or whatever by following orders, but overall don't really have a strong idea and reason to fight there. On the other hand, people like terrorists and extremists over in the Middle East have very strong reasons to fight, and they are willing to fight and die for their causes. Many American soldiers are just in it because if they hadn't joined the armed forces, they would be back at home somewhere, poor and unable to make anything of themselves but at least after serving they can afford an education or whatnot. So you can see that while many times we have superior training, they reason/will to fight is not as strong which in reality can make some difference and it also means that one side is dying for a cause they know they believe in while the other side is wondering, why did I have to go die for someone/something that means nothing to me.
Don't know if you can understand what I'm saying, but it's how things appear to be at least some of the time. 9/11 will probably be remembered for a long time, but the thing I wonder is what will be remembered about it. The fact that people died because of terrorism or that a president sat by and let his people die all in the name of money and his stupidity.
