With "The Touch" by Stan Bush playing in the background. Too bad Optimus gets blasted by a rubble javelin and blasted cause Hotrod decided to play hero and gave Megatron the upper hand. Then again, when you watch it now, its hilarious as it is epic. Nothing like saying the cornyness "Wait, I still function" or "I'll RIP OUT YOUR OPTICS!!!"

As for the movie, I for one enjoyed every minute of it. And now I do admit I was wrong about bashing Megatron's appearance before, after looking closely I did notice the old Megatron look in him.
It was a good thing Micheal Bay issued that last minute change on his head, or he would have made a lot of classic fans very unhappy.

As for Optimus, a majority of the time he had his visor always covering his mouth, and they recruited the 1986 voice actor for him :). Too bad Megatron's was rejected because it wasn't menacing enough to fit the appearance, CURSE YOU MICHEAL BAY!

I have seen that movie 5-6 times. From the start with Laserbeak's patrol run to the creation of Rodimus Prime and the destruction of Unicron. And the awesome and corny in-between parts like the Universal Greeting (Bah wheep grana wheep ninny bong!), Grimlock's awesome self-reference lines, Stan Bush's tracks, and the Sharkticons.

And of course, Galvatron gives his thanks to Starscream, by turning him into black scrap metal.

As for that sequel, I for one would like to see Soundwave, and his Autobot Counter part, Blaster.
And its sorta a good thing they may sack Micheal Bay, he just doesn't seem like the director type for a kick-ass movie.

NICE!

I had a feeling the first movie wasn't gonna be "great" plot wise... Because they had to set up things for Unicron... How can you have a serious transformers movie trilogy without the baddest enemey of all. Honestly though, Megatron looked really ****in mean, I can only imagine how seriously deadly Galvatron is gonna look. And they BETTER have him have a cannon on his arm.

I am wondering who will do the voice(of unicron)... No one has a voice like Orson Wells.

I watched the Original movie the other day... I love how they play Weird Al's "Dare to be stupid" on the junk planet while RC, Blur, and spike (I think hotrod and cup might of been there too) fought those TV talkin bastards.

And Orson Wells has been dead for 20 years. They will find someone hopefully.

I really wish they didn't leave the movie open ended. I mean, it's cool and all to see the bots on the screen and shit, but goddamn I'm so sick and tired of every movie now a days being a part of a trilogy.

I hear you there. I mean, having something set up so that you can bring in more of the canon and characters than you could feasibly fit into a single movie is one thing, but you know that's not why everything is being made into a trilogy. It's freakin capitalist bastards who just have to milk any movie that makes a lot of money for all it's worth. Transformers kicked ass, and a lot of people loved it, so they made a lot of money, and they're going to make at least one more.

As long as the movies make money, they'll keep making them. I mean, it's why there's going to be yet ANOTHER Spiderman movie. They finished the trilogy, it wrapped up nice, but OMG WE CAN MAEK MOR MONEYZ!!! SPIDERMAN 4, 5, 6, 7!

I mean, also...was it REALLY necessary to make the last 3 Star Wars movies? No...the original trilogy did so well and became such a hit, and started such a following, that they just decided "HOLY SHIT LETS DO IT ALL AGAIN AND MAKE BILLIONS!!"

EVERY movie nowadays is left open-ended, even the horrible B-horror movies. The reason? If ANYTHING gets ANY sort of decent payout, BOOM! SEQUEL! I would be nice to have a movie actually FINISH one of these days.

Welcome to Hollywood. It will keep running itself dead, and then get revamped just so it can make money. Praise the all mighty dollar.

Actually, Lucas wanted to finish out his story. He didn't give two shits about the amount of money he made off it, as he donated a shitload of it to different charaties and colleges and shit.

I suppose I can accept that. Lucas may be a little high on himself, but he isn't a bad guy. He hit big with the original trilogy, I can't blame him for fleshing out the beginning. The only problem is that out of Episodes 1-3, 3 was the only decent one...sure, nice effects and stuff, but 3 was the only one that was really AWESOME. I was also rather pissed that they left a big gap between 2 and 3, where Clone Wars went on, and you had to see Clone Wars if you really wanted to know exactly what went on.

Clone Wars was awesome as hell. I want Teletoon to do that for Cinetoon again., so I can tape it.
