Wow, that's weird. I never played back in .09, did occy rings look like an occy but went in the ring slot? Or were they actually rings?

Anyway, I'd like to see some more like that, except better.

the reason it is the image of a shield there is because 1.1 changed something in the files. they made most of the uniques attached to a specific graphic, no matter what kind of item it is.

also, the occy ring was not an example of this because it had the title Stone of Jordan and not The Oculus.

Hes right. An example is Zonfire: using any unique name for the wrong item shows the graphic for the original unique item.

Example: Magewraith Demensional Shard: it would appear as the Magewraith bow instead of a normal demon shard.

This all happened one 1.10 came; like TheMessiah said.

There only Steelclash gloves so be thankful there not SS or the like. Steelclash isn't as major as it could be.

Well, steelclash isn't an extremely good shield, but it is good gloves for a pally. He's saying if it was like SS or something and that guy had a dupe the D2 economy would be ruined again...

i saw wiz spike armor yesterday on west. wiz spike gloves are common, but that armor creeped me out. it's becoming 08 all over again. speeking of creepy stuff, i think drax needs a new sig. lmao

I want to play in a .08/.09 economy, because I didn't play until 1.10 came out. It might be nice to just see what it's like for a while before it gets patched.

We'll, I'll give you some insight on that then.


In the beginning, 1.09 had like one problem, and that was duped Sojs, Wf, Valor, Gf, Shako, and Gaze of 1.08 Versions. And 1.09's were duped as well, but 1.08 stuff was usually superior to 1.09 Stuff. I loved 1.08 Stuff too. 1.08 Arreats is always perfect stats. Same with Gaze. GF in 1.08 gaze life and mana baased on level, added to the things it does today I beleive. Valor gave Fire Resistance and also + Life based on level as well as Vitality I think. Wf was usually perfect in 1.08 form.



Towards the middle, we still have these same problems. People are getting banned but still hacking. Duping is making the economy pretty good, and Sojs are the currency.



Towards the end, things sorta went to hell. Some new hacked item's came out. Occy Rings (Sojs with the stats of a occy) replaced sojs as the Sorceress Ring. The ever godly constircitng ring (which isnt around anymore) was massively duped too. New hacked weapons (ITHS, quarks) were released (An Ith Collossus Blade did well over 1000 damage on one hand usually for me) and whites (Whites were so rigged. Max Resistances, super leech, and max all absorbs. Sorceress offically didn't duel much anymore.) White rings, and gloves,. Bugged Strings was also Nice. 30% Dr, + vit, def, other good mods above a regular string. Hax charms (ohh god) 90 (or 95, I forgot)+ Str/Vit/Dex and lvl 70 Req on small charm. People smacked 40 of these in their inventory and wnet and dueled. It was so insane. My Barb Never died against monsters, with only 15 Hexes at that time. But yea, 1.10 rolled around and deleted all of that stuff.

There was still an upside to the ending of .09, by the last week bugged items were a dime a dozen...i personally got lucky, i bought out a bunch of bugged/duped/hacked items and for like the last week and a half just constantly turned on my bots, got a crapload of still usefull items. sold the bugged items for almost the same ammount i bought em for ^_^ couple days later 1.10 came out and all was good

If i was away from school close to the end of 1.09 , my friends thought that 1.10 came out and i was skipping school for it, lol.
