well that's the point, with other files such as just .gif/.jpeg that are posted up here, theya re opened in the web browser (for most ppl) but the .zip file has to be dl'd and opened that way, much slower.

well if it asked if i made it yea i did.. i used to be the radix clans leader
and our clan was going really slow our site sucked and the whole shit.. in the end i decided that since i didnt know too much html back then i would just get our clan famous by making maps i made Seed Vs raDIx but it didnt go to well so after that i made that map.. but like after a month of that map our whole clan was gone i never heard of the co leader of the clan after that..

i cant open some maps. it says thats its not a valid SC file.

It means that the map is protected. You can't open it unless you have a password and the right program that the creator of the map protected it on. Most peole protect their maps because they don't want other people to see their maps.(triggers, units, etc)

being a famous mapmaker sucks some times.

yes there's a good side to being a famous map maker... and a bad side...

well neways, mostly the bad side, is you end up 10'000 peoples buddy lists, and suddenly when you sign on, 2'000 of those bastards message you at once...

this is known as... LAGGGGGG.

After I finished Disease Defense, people would ask if I was the maker of the map everytime I join a game. I'd be in the middle of typing something pretty long and then someone would ask: "Hey, aren't you the person who made Disease defense?" So I eventually changed my name, 4 times. ( Someone even whispered me saying that he was outside of my house and he would kill me ) ( Eventually he confessed and said that he saw my name on my map and decided to have fun with me )

I got that alot first with The Rock then with Dodge the Larva and yet a 3rd time with House of the Haunted and being leader of (U) didn't really cut down on the spam.

I just changed my name everytime I made a map so nobody recognized me. But I'm sticking with one name now because even when I make a map, I won't be around for people to ask me the question. I just distribute my map and then not go on battle.net for like 2 weeks.
