Getting your map in:

Just post plz, you can only send maps in for the first 2/3 weeks of the contest.

Guidelines:

1. You must have made the map by yourself, or with a group.
2. Take a .jpg of the terrain and host it yourself plz, this saves me time.
3. To vote, pm me, dont post your vote in here.
4. Plz if possible remove your signature when posting so this thread doesn't get too large.
5. ONE MAP PER PERSON, PER VOTING SESSION.
6. .JPEG's are only required for non ums/rpg maps.
7. You MAY send screenshots of your map in so people can get better ideas of what it's like.
8. Winners are shown as RED and extra LARGE

I need the program that can take .jpeg pictures. I don't have a camera that can hook up to the computer.:lucifer

i believe its called scm - jpeg or scm to jpeg something liek that, you run it, and then right click on a map to convert to a jpg. They jpgs are very un-detailed and the doodad tops are cut off, but they still look similar to the map from a distance.

Am I suppose to extract to the Sc Folder?

OMG, I remembered that map like a year ago. That use to be the best map I played but also the hardest. But now it's not so hard. Since I'm really good at dodging flames.

no you have map an .jpeg, you can even send screenshots of your map in if you'd wish (im adding thattoo right now)

Bolt, it was like 10 pm last night when i was splitting the thread, and i guess his looked like a map to dl... its hard to tell sometimes when ur doing the splits.

Could you add to the first thread the range of time your accepting maps and when you vote on them

i think you should accept maps all month and vote for the first week of each month. but i guess accorind to our vote people want to do it every 2 weeks. I just think it would be a greator honor to have it monthly and it is easer to title

hmm yes i think monthly would be easier neways, i will accept them for the first 2 weeks of the month then, and after that you can vote on the maps.

(The .jpeg's and screenshots are just there for looking at maps)

neways, the screenshot isn't so bad, you could take a few showing the hero choosing area if you want.

I might not do the contest in thsi, just use this to archive our maps... dunno yet.
