Thaltos was not pleased. This insubordination was intolerable.

"I am the champion of Zeus, and how quickly you forget that I am the only reason you still breathe, Balthizar. You will treat me with respect, and heed my wishes. I do not desire to command you in full, but you will not act contrary to my interests.

I will take no disrespect from you, or anyone. I serve only the Gods and the Fates, and they are the only ones who can talk down to me.

As I said, we will all take her, and Kainus will carry her."

((Hmm, a set posting order kinda creates problems. I think that it would be helpful if we added a final part to our posts, perhaps in a separate tag, like the OOC text but perhaps with brackets, and in it specify who would be best suited to follow our post...like for mine I'll put "<<Balthizar or Kainus>>," because those are the two characters that I'm interacting with and who would likely be responding. Others can jump in, but any story conflicts will go with the most logical course?))

Balthizar relunctantly obeyed, for there was not a thing he could do. To disobey Thaltos, would to disobey mighty Zeus himself. "Fine, but do not expect me to be very social."

Kainus feeling betrayed starts to get a little defensive. Although zeus had sent him to help, he was the eldest, wisest and most experienced he should be honored by his fellow allies.

He then decided to walk up too Thaltos, and whisper to him, "You do know Zeus will be angry with you for starting with me." Running after Balthizar , he says "Balthizar give me her or I will be forced to cut your toes off.

Giving him a little while too make up his mind, he starts to draw his blade.

Balthizar started to feel a demonic rage building up inside him.

"CHILD! DO NOT SPEAK TO ME LIKE THIS YOU NAIVE FOOL! I HAVE WITNESSED THINGS IN MY TIME THAT WOULD MAKE YOU HURL YOUR INSIDE OUT! YOU SHALL GRANT ME THE RESPECT I DESERVE!" Balthizar said in a dark, deep voice.

((The tag thing sounds good to me. and I hate to say this but it takes a lot for someone to irk me. Spawn's getting out of hand.))

Torque growled at this newcomer, one who appeared out of no where and automatically assumed he could take command of the whole thing. A friend's life was at stake and this one was fighting all for vanity. Torque addressed Kainus in a calm tone but it still hinted at inner rage. "Look Kainus, you are new here and even if you are favored by Zeus, you are stepping over the line by trying to take command. Our friend's life is at stake and all you care about is your damned self." He said. He motioned for Balthazar to start moving and move fast. He turned his attention back to Kainus. "I may be the weakest in this group because I dont have any special powers, but you're in my homeland and I know it very well." He said and then stood up straighter. "This is Bern, I am Bernese and I am a Dragonis. My family is revered and feared in this area and you will respect my people's rules. We do NOT interfere with anything when someone is mortally wounded." He growled. "Do you understand?"

Thaltos chuckled. This impudent little pup may have some years, but it's a pity he gained no wisdom through them.

Let Zeus be angry. His temper was always flaring, but like the lightning for which he was known it was always shortlived...and the love he felt for his son would not overcome his irritation at the antagonization of the little halfbreed vampire...and if the fool continued to anger everyone present, he'd soon find himself faced with a lynch mob. So far the only person he hadn't pissed off was Asakai, because she's hardly conscious.

Thaltos smirked at the idiot dhampir. If he didn't watch his steps, he'd learn that just because you live for 450 years doesn't mean you're immortal.

((How am I getting out of hand?))

Sensing the danger ahead of Balthizar, he quickly sprints towards Balthizar, quickly saying "Run around me there is danger farther up, I will try to handle the pack of hells minions, now go, do not help me, I'll be with you soon!!!"

Quickly pulling out his swords, he runs into the little inclosed area, quickly jumping through the trees rolling into the small circular spot. Screaming "You shall not laugh defeat me, I am far more powerful that you pitiful minions!"

The clashing of swords and screams can be heard very distinctively. Kainus is getting surrounded by minions trying to fight them off. Yelling "Like I said you pitiful minions you can not defeat me, I am far more powerful. You shall fall by my hand."

[Thaltos]

((Vadriel, I thought you said people who are gods and gorgons can't be affected by your stare? Especially since I am a demi-god.))

 

[Vadriel]

((You're not a full god. You're mortal. Mortals can be taken by the stare. Gorgons are the only exception because they're immune to their own magic.))

Thaltos grumbled. The fool was annoying and cocky, but an able warrior...unfortunately he wouldn't likely be able to take on these men without assistance.

Readying the Shears, Thaltos plunged into the fray alongside Kainus.

Balthizar hurried off with Asakai slung over his shoulders, he yelled back to Torque "Hurry up! Lest you get left behind!"

 

[Asakai-miko-Midoriko]

((WHOA...okay way too many people healing me...it has gotten me confused...considering I keep repeating place to meditate....:/..I'm just gonna take Torque's post it makes the most sense...considering Kanius would die if he touched Asakai hence the no touchy attitude she has....))

She sat up fast regretting the action causing her to cringe slightly."...these are just flesh wounds...mere scratches I'm not weak like you." She stood up to prove her point causing her to rip open the sealed gash on her side."...magic cannot heal me...I must find a place of meditation..." She looked at Torque seriously her eyes showed her pain."....If you do not approve of my methods then I suggest you either shut up..or...go on without me...I don't have the privalge of wasting time." She started walking again down the trail managing a few feet before having to rest. She heard mention of Balthizar taking her." I would rather die then be carried like some weak little girl....I can walk it..." She panted between phrases. There was something not right about these wounds she'd had far worse and managed walking through the desert.'..the Saiten scripture must be weakening my body....Daemon.....you seem to be a genuis afterall...' She spoke to herself before resting compeletly against the tree waiting for her perhaps new party.

Feeling ignored, but thankful, Kainus decides to say "I thought I told you too go on without me." Parrying a slash attack. Trying to overpower the quick recovery of the minion, he sweeps the enemies feet out, causing them to tumble and land upon a fallen comrades sticking up blade going straight through their head.

As more minions started to appear out of nowhere, Kainus tests his necromancer powers reanimating the enemies he just killed to help them.

Feeling a sharp pain out of nowhere Kainus falls to the power taking control of him. Falling quickly to the floor, he tries to get up but can't.

He takes his sword and pierces into an enemies legs sucking its life force into him.

Still weakened by this dark force, he tries to get up and is miraculously aided by some mystical force. He quickly starts fighting again, dodging a couple of stabbing attacks. He starts slashing some more. Eventually getting to the last of the minions, he kills it with his double slash and stab technique that he developed when fighting Daemons son. Quickly trying to help Thaltos, he cuts into the enemies head gear finding a small hole, whipping out his dagger he stabs the enemy in the back of the head.

Thaltos felt his blood sing with the joy of battle as the Shears bit deep into one of the attackers and drained his life energy into them. This was what he lived for, this was why he was born...to do the will of the Gods and slay the hubris-ridden heretics.

The Shears gorging upon the life of his foes, Thaltos whirled in a dance of death and mayhem, striking with precision and brutality to inflict maximum damage upon each enemy, killing with indifference and indistinction.

Beside him, Kainus seemed to be holding his own, but a trio of enemies had snuck up behind him and was about to strike him down. Thaltos growled. He didn't like the dhampir, but that didn't mean he would let him die.

Thaltos thrust the blade of one of the Shears against the hilt of the other, and ignited the electrotelekinetic charge, a lance of crackling energy uniting the blades. Releasing the bonded Shear, he lashed out with the one he held, the electrotelekinesis causing the weapons to behave like a deadly whip of electrical energy tipped with a deadly blade. The end Shear buried itself in the chest of one of the three attackers, and rapidly drained the energy from his body.

With a deft flick of the wrist, the corpse was pulled back to Thaltos, who ripped the Shear from it and used the flying body to catapult off and bring both Shears in a double-handed downward blow into the neck of another of the three enemies.

Not even bothering to drain the energy from the body, Thaltos yanked the Shears out in an arc at the other, decapitating the body of the second attacker and burying them into the chest of the third and final would-be ambusher. The dying fighter's hand clutched feebly at Thaltos' hanging pendants as the Shears did their work, and scornfully Thaltos snapped the man's withering wrist and cast the hand from him.

The murder of the three attackers having taken place in a matter of moments, Thaltos collected himself, straightened his necklaces, and shook the blood of his enemies from the Shears of Atropos before giving Kainus an openly hostile glare and turning back to the few remaining attackers.

"I have no times for games girl, you are too weak to do anything, you must allow me to carry you, if not, than you will die. Those wounds don't seem to be healing, must be Daemon's work, I know how to stop it, but we must find a mage, quickly. If you will not allow me to carry you, I shall take you with me forcefully." Balthizar said this with a stern look on his face.

Torque saw the last remaining attackers and then went to work, he drew the sword Deathscream, the black flame pattern already hungering for blood. He charged at the first man, leaping into the air and then slashing downwards, nearly cleaving him in two. He turned around to the second man, gathered some energy and steadied his breathing. He concentrated in the power within himself, the need to do justice to these misguided people and as the darkness of night settled in, Torque vanished from sight. It seemed that he faded from existence. Maniacle laughter echoed through the night sky and suddenly the second man was screaming in pain and he suddenly fell to pieces. The third man was trembling in fear, wondering what was happening. Torque reappeared nearby, gasping for air and he saw his chance. He charged at Torque, managing to stick his knife in Torque's side. With a cry of pain, Torque turned around and lopped the man's head off then collapsed.

Quickly turning around and seeing the enemies that had attacked him from behind, Kainus quickly thanks Thaltos. Smiling like he usually does, Kainus started to play a little trick that always worked well against dumb minions like the attackers. Standing with his back to the enemies he waited for just a few seconds and then did a backflip over the charging enemy and then plunged his right hand sword into his back and then his left hand sword into the other enemies chest sucking two full blood systems dry made him feel overpowering.

Running at the final remaining enemy he slid across the ground knocking the enemy off his feet, and then cut his legs off at the knees. Standing up he looked at Thaltos saying "You want to finish him or do I have to?"

 

[Asakai-miko-Midoriko]

"....I repeat....I woul rather die than be carried....do I look like some damnsel?" She growled at Balthizar weakly. She noticed Torque taking the large blow and Thaltos and Kanius fighting off the many other minions. She at that moment felt weak. There was only one cure...to fight. She headed towards the minions still bleeding heavily and gingerly picked up some fallen swords on the ground ready to fight. She began to do just that and began to slash at anyone near her. Her moves were sloppy and she was feeling dizzy. She was beginning to see black as well.

Thaltos snorted at Kainus and plunged the Shears into the chest of the fallen warrior. After draining the life energy from the desicated corpse, he ripped the Shears out and replaced them upon his back.

Looking down at himself, he grunted as he realized how blood-soaked he was.

Sensing the pain of Torque, Kainus looked at Thaltos while saying "Come on something's happening something that is not good." As Kainus ran and jumped through the trees, he saw Asakai fighting enemies, and Torque with a dagger in his side. Saying to Thaltos "Stay here, I am going to take Torque to a doctor." Grabbing Torque, and lifting him up he started to run as fast as he could to the nearest doctor, and he eventually found the doctor. Kicking in the door, he screamed "WHERES THE DOCTOR." Walking through the busted door, he walked into the doctors working room and said "Hello, this is my friend Torque Dragonis, you are going to help him now, or else Zeus will be very angry with you."

The Doctor nodding yes started to get to work on Torques wounds.

((Spawn is not too good at roleplaying. His character defeats every foe with ease, and is very demanding, and when he demands something to be done, he gets it. It is really agrivating me.))

Balthizar was getting very annoyed by Asakai's defiance, but, he still needed to keep her safe. Balthizar joined the fray, Askakai seeming not to even notice him, not a good sign, nevertheless, he slashed with Hibiki and Michi gracefully, the blades being imbued with a power that makes them very sharp, he slashes through his enemies with ease.

Thaltos sighed. God how he hated that dhampir. If that insipid little beast didn't have the favor of Zeus, Thaltos probably would have just slain him out of irritation by now.

Nevertheless, the fool was gone..and there was a fight going on here.

Slowly taking one Shear off his back at a time, Thaltos stretched and popped his neck. His hair writhing in suppressed anger, and ruby eyes glaring out from beneath the frothing mass of tentacle-like strands that mostly covered his face, he snarled and launched himself at the nearest enemy.
