When we closed it..I enjoyed the outcome..and it seemed to work out okay. However, in my opinion..I'd try getting an active mod in their for awhile..and see how that goes. I'd suggest Ben for that. You could add a few if someone else volunteered to help.

Here's an idea..mod azn-flea. That would be fun...haha.

Anyway, I really don't care if it stays or goes..but trying a good active mod might be an idea to try.

im with GP on this one...the asy is the only reason i came back to BF in the first place....im a general chat type person, and chit-chat is always filled with boring shit in the first place...the asy is the only forum in which i get a genuine laugh occasionally...if the asy went i would see no reason to stick around, unless chit chat was loosened up lots, which i dont see happening

As always the largest obstacle would be finding a competent mod you can trust. Wouldn't want another one of the person right above me, would you?

I'd say to do a trial period of each one, no more than a week. Gather information on how it worked, then act on it.

Week 1: Control week. Leave status quo.
Week 2: Add an active, trustworthy moderator. Have them remove blatant spam posts, and threads better done without.
Week 3: Totally close the asylum.

See which works, act on it.

I agree with this statement. But you need to be careful of the people who will blow up the forum after Week 1. The first week is always crucial. Since you need to get advertising and manipulation on your side, and this could mean do or die for your new section. A new forum is the same thing, except you need to do this more tirelessly and rely on trustworthy people who wont crash and burn the project to the ground, much like what happened with Vadriel and Velvet in your previous forum. Or my C&C section, but that one died cause there was no good mod at the time to watch over it, and me or Pan couldnt staff two sections due to rules.

Maybe so, but we need it for activity, just as long as people understand that it is filled with some of the most silly and unproven content on this forum. But there are times where it gets skeptical like that 101 ways your forum will fail section.

But then again, that is why people love to post there.

As I said, keep it up but regulate what is worth keeping there and what should be deleted.
