i was thinking a needle, actually, but those don't walk. i know, metaphoriaclly, but still, they can go on their pointy ends just as well. i got the first and 2nd, the 4th really is too easy, i mean you just run to your copy of the hobbit.....

ya. that walk on its head one was tough but i still say its something to do with nails being attached to something and the "something" is walking

the last one is naturally time, i was going to leave it unanswered but ya know....it looked so lonely. don't worry, little riddle....you are answered now.

rix began to get out of his boat. he flapped into the water and paddled to the bank; bjornita could see his eyes coming toward her. her tongue seemed to stick in her mouth; she wanted to shout out: "give me more time! give me time!" but all that came out with a sudden squeal was:

"time! time!"

bjornita was saved by pure luck. because that of course was the answer.

the last one is a person who walks around all day on their head. duh.... i really can't get that one. if i did a search on altavista, the answer might come up, but that's cheap.

sorry for the triple post, but really, alter the wording some. the 2nd one is a nail in a horseshoe. i resorted to google.....everyone else was right about the having to do with a nail. good job, all of you.
