Wow, this is simply amazing. A religious-type discussion on a gaming forumn. But I guess anything goes
. Anyway, I hope I don't get bashed too much for this but I feel like saying it. I'm a Catholic and I still don't think it is right for someone to try to force others to change their ways. And n00b, it certainly wasn't a very good idea of yours to try and "persuade" people to change their ways in the manner you tried. What you were doing is like yelling and cursing at someone to change their evil ways to good.
Also I wanted to tell people who read this one of my theories about God, Heaven, etc. My theory sounds a little like something out of sci-fi. Did you ever think about this, what if Heaven and Hell were actually different dimensions? This would seem possible, and since God is so powerful he is able to bring the souls of the departed of Earth and any other species he might bring there. I don't really know for sure. Now of course I can't really define what a soul is exactly. Now at the beginning of time when Lucifer waged war against God and then lost, maybe God made some sort of peace treaty with Lucifer. Lucifer was banished to Hell (probably a separated dimension God created as punishment, kinda like a prison) and God agreed that all essentially "bad" angels, souls, etc. would be sent there too. God knew Lucifer might try to wage war against Him one day but He also knew that He would gain more souls in Heaven as time passed because included in the treaty God created a our dimension for both sides to receive souls from. Thus both Heaven and Hell would be strengthened and each could share their eternal life or eternal suffering with those it sort of "recruited." Angels would be the most devoted souls on the side of good and demons would be the most violent, hateful, and overall evil souls.
OK, it sounds a bit farfetched, but hey, I'm just trying to make some sense out of life (or death, matters which way you look at it
). I guess I'll finish this post up by saying that just because someone smokes pot or drinks or does any drug does not necessarily make them doomed for Hell or even make them less of a person. Though I don't really like a person who heavily relies on substances for a good feeling, I think if it is not an addiction it does not make them less moral. Well, actually, if it seriously harms you, then I would say it makes you less of a person morally, physically, and any other way it could affect you. I've gotten drunk before but actually it wasn't even on purpose, it just kinda happened when I kept drinking the spiked lemonade. I personally won't touch other drugs or even cigarettes/cigars because I don't want to be involved with that kinda of stuff. Because even when I do drink, it is not often at all, it is usually once every few months at least, sometimes over half a year.
