Its not a myth...just as a sports car is built with a sleek body frame to improve aerodynamics, people shave their bodies to go faster in water...The hair actually increases drag(water and air are BOTH fluids)

lol, ur not a very hairy guy are you? pro swimmers try to increase their times by fractions of a second...If they swim for a long enough distance, the drag could cost them something significant.
