No one gives a flying mammoth if you can speak French or Italian. German might be nice for conducting business (gives you an edge over your ethnocentric American competitors).

Spanish is a great choice.. if you need some muchachos to build your house illegally or if you want to get into the drug trade. It also has a ton of speakers not in just Mexico but in many South American countries. Opens up the way for Portuguese.

Mandarin is, of course, the holy grail but you will probably be pwned like most people. Japanese is doable and you will have access to a lot of entertainment and pussy (if you're white).
