By the way the F-14 is the sweetest plane ever so go die.
This forum is about debating. F-14 lacks maneurablity and speed of Su-37 and Su-35, i am not talking about its lack of advanced avionics, radars, and sensors all of which SU line uses this days.

ORC and Oto, you heard that there are two JSF planes on the drawing board? One is for something like 2016, and the other is supposed to be in prototype form in 2010 or slightly earlier. The JSFs are going to be great fighters, in my opinion, because of the multi-national cooperation in making them.
Of course I knew, the dates were a bit fague. The yankes are supposed to be making 3 different version of JSF, basically the same plane but with different roles I.E: One is designed with a harrier like system for taking off aircraft carriers. I agree they are going to be great fighters though we will have to wait and see. Wow it is so hard to keep up with all these posts. So my earlier post was about something that bam posted about 4 posts ago lol.

EDIT:
Well, that means that more nations then US gonna use them. And Bertuck is coming up soon, it shall own the skies.
Yah, Britain is gonna get some of those JSF.
I also said manuverabilty and speed isn't everything. The Raptor is the only fighter that can sustain mach speed in cruise. That means it expends less fuel going mach.
So can the eurofighter m8. It is called "super cruise"

That it is :p The three that the US is producing are for different roles. The USAF will get two of them. The USMarines and USNavy will get the third. I never said I had a preferance for my countries planes, only, and that site was just a quick Google search. I wasn't looking for the "best" site out there, just for "vector" tech...

The two JSF I was talking about, though, are the primary models. I wasn't refering to modifications to them (like the three that the US is planning). I said I liked the Typhoon and Sokoi, but I also said that I try to look at all statistics of the planes. It's a little harder to guage the capabilities of "alien" planes and designs, but I do enjoy reading up on them.

~~EDIT~~

Oh! I forgot about the super cruise in that Eurofighter. The Raptor is the fastest in super cruise, though.

I hate tripod >_<

Anyway, those look similar to a lot of other planes on the drawing boards. That looks way to similar to an unmaned craft the US is designing and another fighter we're working on. In all likelyhood, there will be a united armed force soon enough, and the US's "invincibility at night and unstoppabilty during the day" will be just further enhanced by a united front.

I think we actually have something like twenty
Yeah, I guessed I figure roud-about-that.

I wasn't referring to that but this:
I like the F-15 Eagle and F-16 Thunderbird, better. The F-14 Tomcat and F-18 Hornet are good, however
Oh! I forgot about the super cruise in that Eurofighter. The Raptor is the fastest in super cruise, though.
I'm not positive on that but still the eurofighter can go faster. I think raptor is 1.8... and typhoon is 2.0.
It's sukhoi. Sukhoi is a make like the "f" in f-15. If any of the uninformed do research they might be looking at a completely different plane.

United you mean like with other nations? Well then its not just US but also all other leading fighter developers who are US's allies.

I'm not that great at spelling; it would seem. I kind of realized that, though. The "Su" to "F" part, that is. F, afterall, is supposed to mean "Fighter". I don't know how Y, Jargin for "Yankee", became expiremental.

~~EDIT~~

And, yes, Oto. That's what I mean. The US + Euro United Army + Russia = United Armed Forces

Does anyone have any other ideas or opinions on the worlds best fighter? Or even possible ones. If not we'll have to move on to tanks unless we want to fully settle this.

Ok, I don't know THAT much about planes. I know the su37 is super manueverable and the f15 and eurofighter are stealth.. I'm going to have to research. manueverability and speed and radar and invisibility capabilities are not everythingthat has to do with a plane. you must look at many mroe things. payload? is it an effective bomber? only air to air? how many bombs/missiles can it carry? you may have the most manueverable plane that cant carry much ammo and has to run home after a few minutes of fighting.. another thing is gas. how long can you fly and at what speed before you run out of gas? how far can your plane travelm, and how much does extra fuel tanks effect your planes manuverability? this is not simply "this plane can do cooler tricks at airshows so its best." that really doesnt count for so much in a war. different planes are better for different things and different styles of combat.

I really don't know too much about each countries tanks and the such, so I'm just gonna toss one out. The American "Abrahm" tank. I might have gotten the spelling wrong. What's everyones opinions on that. From what I've heard it's nice, but I really don't know how it stacks up internationally.
