How to run multiple d2's on 1 pc

theres also another way that u can run d2
just download d2 loader(the newest one) and then sign on to ur account. create or join a game, then d2 loader will sign on into ur account and u can play on the same account.

you could just go to http://www.planetdiablo.com/evilb/ and click the link on the left called 'run multiple copies'.

all it is is a slightly modified d2game.dll (i think thats the one). run copy 1 with diablo ii.exe, run any more copies using game.exe

Hey i got the to diablo windows running at the same time cause i have 2 cdkeys but how can i run 2 d2jsp bots at the same time on bnet.

copy the jsploader.ini file . name it to someone else , then open it , change the stats init for ur second char , and change add the same command as in the second shortcut.

Someone kept asking about why? I dont feel like looking as to who it was but its simple besides botting... mules. So you can keep an account empty and still be able to run around like an aimless fool getting more stuff and putting it all on other characters then trading your good finds off for sojs eventually leading up to the enevetable (i dunno if thats spelled correctly or not) of buying the best stuff in the game then selling your account on e-bay for $50.

How do I know this? Its what I am going to do so I can get a new game! I speak for myself but explain it as if it were you. Man, I feel like I have done something wrong... oh, well.

OK i'll almost pulled out all my hair so i figured i'd give the forum a shot.

The history. I downloaded D2loader and CD KEY filler. Followed the instructions posted on how to run multiple copies to the T, and i can run 2 instances of D2 but when i click battlenet on the 2'nd instance it says my CDKEYs are already in use by my user name. I've ran Show CDKEY and the cdkey it shows as what i'm using is ALWAYS the same it never changes, so here's my question.

What exactly does the refiller do? Does it fill cdkey.mpq with the information edited in the reg file supplied with it, or does it fill cdkey.mpq with the information that is in the actual registry? If the latter is the case, then something is wrong because my registry says i have one CDKey and showcdkey shows i'm using another cdkey. Is the default CDKey stored in the Default.key file?


And yes i have all the shortcut properties correct in both copies.
-w in one and -w -mpq cdkey.mpq in the other.

So if anybody has any clue what i'm doing wrong here please respond.

PS After this post i tried somemore things, and found out that strangly enough, I can load to D2s and I can log into USEast with one window and USWEST with the other window but if i try to log the second D2 into USEAST it says my CDKEY is already in use.....I'm even more confused now..

well i got it to work around 2 weeks ago after i posted. and i just did exactly what sin316 said to do on the top of the first page of this forum. and the second cdkey u have must be both regular diablo2 and expansion cdkey different from your original.

Wait a sec nm bout that post up there...i have another question if i typed in my 2 new classic diablo 2 cd-key and my new expansion diablo 2 cd-key in the in the cdkey notepad thing then am i suppose to put my new ones in the cd-key refiller or my old ones?

I must be a freaking idiot or something cause i cant get this crap to work. I have a dvd+r/rw drive and a dvd rom drive. I also have 2 copies of D2 and 1 copy of LOD. I want to have 2 games running on 1 pc at once on Battle.net. I have tried every step listed in this thread and none have worked. Anyone care to shed some light on my dilemma?
