[glow=red]Do you think its wrong, or alright? I think its alright cause those greedy bastards in the music production industry deserve to suffer. Besides its free, and who doesn't like the stuff that is free?[/glow]

i hate the IRAA, but only stupid people who deserve to be caught do. even little research and some common sense will lead you to programs such as peer gaurdian and similar which protect you...

Meh, it doesn't take enough money away from the industry for it to be a real threat. I don't usually download music (internet is too slow), but when I do it's to try something new. Then if it's really good I'll go buy the CD. So for me, downloading music has actually made me buy more CDs :/

I guess it's morally wrong but I don't see it as being that big an issue.

I think it's fine. Freedom of expression by the artists shouldn't be controlled by money! Fight the power, man!

It's OK to download music... and it's completely legal here in Spain, as long as you don't upload (go go leech)... **** the music productors or whatever and the RIAA :)

I just go out and buy the CD's. One CD is less than an hour of work for me, so why not?

Because it's just another way to leech off free shit. It's like downloading a movie without buying it.

Honestly, I don't know why the RIAA is so fed up with music, and not with movies. Movies you don't watch to a billion times like you do with CD's. They should care more about Movies than with CD's. Oh wait, Lars is a ****** and wanted to complain because Metallica sucked to bad to sell cd's.

That doesn't really answer my question, now does it ? Why bother with copyrights and other legal shit ?

I've said this here many times before, and as a musician myself, I think downloading music is totally wrong. The performer put plenty of hard work into the music, and you take that for granted when dling music. I know someone's gonna say "OMFG THEY MAKERIZE TEH MONEYZ FROM TEH CONCERTZ." Yes, they make a lot of money from that, but it doesn't mean they don't deserve income from cds.
