Didn't we have some sort of anime forum at one point? Didn't work out did it? Nah...possible expansion of non-Blizzard games, but given the amount of failures we had, maybe the forums can do with some new marketing strategy. At least the new black skin's a good start for appearances.

i had few idea's but couldn't really implement them due to legal reasons here so i just really gave up after the first 2 weeks.

The comic forums could work and would like that but new forums really seem to die in a month or 2

the way i see the forum we are going down faster then we can go up. Im sure we can pull it up at some point but right now it just seems like nothing much been going on except a skin.

About the comic forum; there were three members who read actual comics, not web-comics. Darkblade, who no longer posts, Pan, who no longer posts, and SouLeSS, who is banned. So no, that wouldn't work, at all.

Not to mention, that a comic forum would totally suck unless you devoted a ton of other sections to them.

I haven't changed much since I've been here, and yet I recently got banned for acting the exact same way I did during BF's "golden years". So you see, logically the solution isn't to ban people. Search engine optimization, that's great. Making the place more aesthetically pleasing, also great (although I don't really like the skin or the logo). But banning the people who have been here forever and are the backbone of this forum? That's a terrible move. We were here when this place was great. We essentially made this place great. You weren't and you didn't and you're trying to take this place in a direction that it shouldn't be going in.

No matter what happens to BF, most of us are still here. And we are what keeps BF active. Most of us have stopped playing the Blizard games that brought us here in the first place, but we are still coming back. For most of us, BF was never about the games. It was always about the people.

Yeah. That pretty much summed up the current condition of battleforums. Pretty soon it's going to just be LB, hellwolf, and jakkar saying how good this place is.

The only problem that Battleforums has is the fact that the majority of it's most active member base has stopped playing the Blizzard games, and thus they've all flocked to the general section. They're all bored, having nothing to discuss, so they complain about said problem. This results in tension between the members..which in turns draws in other members into the conflict. The end result is a bunch of bored forum members complaining because the Blizzard forum that they joined no longer is worth posting on because they stopped playing said games, and instead of moving on they stick around expecting the very idea of Battleforums to change just for them.

Did I miss anything? ;)
I, too, have quit playing Blizzard games ages ago along with the majority of posters here. And it shows. All but general forums are graveyards.

This I suppose will be my last post 'till I have somewhere to post here besides general forums.

So long and thanks for all the fish.

Why is it we are still clinging to the notion of just Blizzard games? I have said 5000 times before and I am getting annoyed of having to repeat myself.

The forum is dying because 2007 just isnt Blizzard friendly and many newer more popular games are out. Sure WoW is popular, but people play it more than asking questions.

And the Asylum was also trashed, and that took away a few active members. Although it was a bad board, it had its moments of activity, as people on this board fed off drama & controversay between other members and flamers. It was like the land you could unwind.

Who the hell was that guy? Did he change his name or did I just not notice him for 3 years...?

I mean, my first guess was JKar. I guess BFH might make sense too.

hahaha @ jimbo getting banned for that.

Should have put the "not talking about anyone in particular" disclaimer on like I did.

He didn't get banned for that. In fact, he did not even get infraction points for that post.

He was banned for 3 counts of trolling and 1 count of insulting a member.

I just assumed since his post was moved...

And was one of those infractions for calling me a ******? If so, damn right. I hope that bastard stays banned forever.
