We need pan back...where did he go anyways?
He got sick of seeing this place go down the tubes, so he left.

I had no choice but to put "rapidly getting worse." I had some hope with the new administration, because at least somebody seemed to be getting something DONE. No offense to Roach, x42, and Eric...I've never had a real problem with any of you guys, but there was a lot of indecisiveness.

Currently, things are decisive...a little too decisive imo. It seems like the mentality is "ban now, let them back later."

Not to mention the current environment isn't promoting much in the way of freedom of opinion or expression of ideas...it feels more like Oceania than a kids' gaming forum.

Rome feel pretty hard too. :p

Thebastardsword pretty much has a good idea. Sell gold. It would bring people in. Currently we don't really offer anything. As for offering something, SC2 is the golden egg for us right now. I just don't think we know what to do with it.

When starcraft 2 is released and with proper timing we might be able to use that to bring in alot of members.

Yeah, if we get some bots on whatever SC2 will use for multiplayer we could rpobably build a pretty good member base.

We just need something to keep them here.

I'm confident we'll see a huge jump in activity as we get closer to the launch of Starcraft 2.

BF truly is the most authoritative Blizzard gaming forum out there. There's no doubt in my mind we'll be able to get it back on its feet before the release of Starcraft 2.

What we really need is high quality content. The content would bring in traffic and hopefully help us climb the search engine rankings.

You need to designate some people to provide content in those areas. Or else it's not going to happen.....Maybe a mod spot to whoever provides the most quality content?

Moderator as a reward spells trouble. Moderators should be hand-chosen for more than just their skills at dredging the Internet for interesting articles. Like common sense. Or dependability.

Well that's where I think you are wrong. A moderator of a section is not likely to destroy a section that he spent so long to help create. I just think he should ONLY be in charge of that section.

I see where you're coming from, but I'd still prefer that anybody with a measure of power has at least an equal measure of dependability and common sense. Of course, what do I know?

I understand where you're coming from too....but where is this candidate?

I have my reasons for thinking otherwise. Then again I'm not known at all for being forgiving.

Things are getting gradually better, imo.

The only problem that Battleforums has is the fact that the majority of it's most active member base has stopped playing the Blizzard games, and thus they've all flocked to the general section. They're all bored, having nothing to discuss, so they complain about said problem. This results in tension between the members..which in turns draws in other members into the conflict. The end result is a bunch of bored forum members complaining because the Blizzard forum that they joined no longer is worth posting on because they stopped playing said games, and instead of moving on they stick around expecting the very idea of Battleforums to change just for them.

Did I miss anything? ;)
