the best song (which would be number one) is obviously Lambchops "This is the song that never ends"

I like Bohemian Rhapsody. Sang it in my highschool choir, was pretty sweet... Everything else is just, blah...

Classic Rock pales in comparison to true classicism.

It's called an "orchestra," not "big band." And besides, a lot of Beethoven and Mozart pieces were written for a specific instrument, such as the piano or violin. Symphonies were orchestra-oriented, but the majority of the lesser known works of the greatest classic composers of all time were singular instrumentals.

Stairway's opening guitar riffs were stolen from another band and the solo is ho-hum blues based riffs. It's really not anything that great and it always annoys me that stairway is the song associated to Led Zeppelin, when they had many songs of much higher quality.

Bohemian Rhapsody is funny and musically diverse... but not one of the top 3 songs ever written.

There is no song by Pink Floyd called Dark Side of the Moon... the song you're likely referring to is called "Brain Damage", and if you don't even know the actual name of the song, I find it a tad odd you'd consider it one of the greatest 3 songs of all time. And, though it's a great song, Pink Floyd has done better.

Perosnally, my favorite song is probably Gravity by John Mayer. Seeing/hearing that song live has been the greatest experience to me.

Big Band, same difference you got the point.

You still didn't prove a point, you can't really compare a symphony to a classic rock song.

Technically it's on another level, they are 2 completely different genres, different fan base... besides if your going on technicality there are way more technical guitar solos out there then a Mozart piece if your going on technicality to rate you favorite song.

Try some Dream theater or Joe Satriani for serious technical ****.

He raises a good point.

I don't know enough about music to come up with a Top 3, or even a Top 10.
