The Reason For The Piriting Is People With Start Playing Privite Bnet Servers! These Servers Need No Keys!! There Would Be No Need For Bnet If People Swiched Over To These Servers To Play For Free!! I think thier just trying to rip us off. I dont really care what thier money probs are, they just shouldve managed themselves better, and if they didnt want this mess to happen, they shouldnt of started b.net at all. The principal of the matter is that making ppl buy the game, then pay just to use it is wrong, its even theft in a way. Im going to use a pirated server like some guy mentioned earlier if p2p becomes the situation

Blizzard makes money by the battle chest and for those who buy the games seperately. If I was forced to pay for b.et I would choose a new game. B.net has always benn my playing field and i love the way it is. If the paying customers were willing to buy game then b.net good for them. I think it might be worth it. But I WILL NOT pay for it. If they really need money they can go into x-box,gamecube,or ps2. They have a multitude of games and i love every one i have played so far.

Look at everquest not a very popular game when you have to buy it for retail 49.99 or lower pending on sales then turn around and have to pay $109.00 or maybe it was lower for a year what ever it cost it is still BULL&^%$.

Blizzard is competing in the free online gaming industry it would kill there sales of games, now there are people that would play but more people would turn to other games that are free
you do not have to have a major in Business to figure out that would be like Enron and fold up faster than wanted.

There is a reason there or not more games like everquest and there are many like SC, WC, DB. FREE ONLINE GAMING

Just because Vivendi is in a bit of financial trouble is no reason for Blizzard to suddenly start charging. Blizzard is already probably their most profitable company. They already make a lot of money jus selling the games, and they know how many people would not buy the games if battle.net was not free. So, really, they make more money by having people purchase copies of the game and keeping battle.net free, instead of having much fewer people buy the game and pay for battle.net. Vivendi has to find other ways to get money, such as selling some of their other companies. They have already seemed to have ruled out selling Blizzard also.

For everyone who has been saying "bnet is going to change because they're in financial trouble, blah, blah, blah" don't listen to them.. I talked to a rep today and he said there parent company Vivendi is in a little financial trouble, but none of it even effects blizzard or battle.net, he said the only thing that was going to cost, was World of Warcraft, but of course it would be.. So pass this one so people qwillquit worrying about all this non sense!

I can't believe it! I really hope this doesn't happen because it will cure my addiction quick. When I bought this game, I was under the impression that this was a service that would remain free (the reason I bought the game in the first place!), now I'm scrambling reading the fine print in my papers trying to see if they covered their butts!

If they do start charging, whether they like it or not, I will quit playing. It's just not worth it. The game is fun, but I can pay to play other games... And if my quitting doesn't affect them, or is a bonus for them, then yay them.

Also, I will take back the Warcraft III I bought my boyfriend for Christmas. I'm not supporting a company who charges kids to play a game they already bought! (Since most of the users are very young!)

As long as it's free, look for me in Diablo II (angelsarmy, sleepyangel). Just don't bring this up unless you want an ear-full!

Damn, if they were to charge me, I don't think I would pay 20 dollars for it. I am only getting 60 dollars monthly, and I have to pay 60 dollars every month for my dog! That dog is plenty expensive ($800). So, they would lose me if they were to charge.

It is called StarCraft: Ghost. Obviously u r a ghost and u walk around and do shit.

Also, there is no way in the world that blizzard is broke, after all the sales from war3, and soon WoW games. If by some change they did find themselves in dept, all they have top do is make sc2, and with all theloyal bw fans there already are, they'll be rolling in $$ again.

Everyone who isn't a newb to this forum already knows about SC Ghost, they even have a special forum just for it and it is pretty obvious that you will walk around and do shit, but almost all games are like that. From what I've heard so far it is gonna be like Metal Gear Solid with alot more strategy involved.

And Blizzard probally has more money than they can handle, soon as WoW and SC Ghost come out they will be pouring more money into their pockets and I wouldn't doubht if they get the record for most pre-orders of SC Ghost, but even if they were loaded with money they would still want more and it wouldn't stop them from charging on b.net.

I seriously doubht they start charging because that is one of the main reasons people buy their products, thats the reason I bought it, cause it is alot more fun to go online and play actuall people rather than AI.

Those of you that have said Blizzard is in financial trouble I correct you all right now. The only part of SC, Diablo, WCx that is in trouble would have to be Battle.net. In a way B.net already has a sponsor, Blizzard. For those of you that haven't noticed there is a banner on the server chat screen advertising Blizzard products. From books and shirts to WC3 this summer. So B.net has some amount of money coming in through that alone.

Another thing is that those of you who said you would log onto a pirated server, you all are full of crap. There is no way you can log onto a pirated B.net server, because if B.net doesn't exist how are you going to log onto a pirated one!?!?! Is it going to be called B.net2?

And all of you that say you won't pay to play how come you wouldn't? People are already paying $10 a month PER account on Everquest. For B.net it would only be $10 a month for you to play as many accounts as you wish. So I don't know what the big deal is but paying $10 a month isn't that much unless your living on welfare. If that's the case you have a ligit excuse.

I already play a online game that charges and its not that bad. It cost $10 but im not about to pay another $10 or more. If blizzard decides to charge im gone.
