-The DiabloII Newb's Guide-​

The following is a list of things that you should know if you are new to diablo or just plain dumb.

-Trojan: A trojan is a type of virus kinda, its like the old story about the trojan horse, how they hid there army inside. well thats what happens, you download a program that you think is a dupe, they say it is and everything, well you download the program and its really a trojan, youve just "opened a door" so to speak. now whoever created this trojan has control of your computer, he/she can now access your files and F*ck you over.

-Dupes: There are no public dupes right now, anything you find on the web is either A. a lie, or B. really a virus/trojan.

-Public(pub)Private(priv): Public: As in "Public Dupes" for example, are dupes that anyone can get by typing in a website and downloading, or something that anyone knows; Private, as in "Private dupes" are dupes that a set of friends know, they do not tell anyone about them, they just use them, there are a few private dupes (or so said by rumors) but since they are private, no one will learn about them.

-Virus: (This is for the dumber ppl) A virus is any type of program that replicates itself and harms your computer

-Hacks: There are many types of hacks out there, Maphack,Trade hack, d2hackit,snifferxp,mephisto soulstone, so forth. If you want one, check the stickies, or use the Search button.

-If you are infected: If you become infected with a virus or trojan, there are many places to go, check the stickies, ask these forums, or use the search button

-Battleforums Rules that are broken by New comers: NEVER Double Post, Double posting is when you post, then you decide to say something else, so you create another post, one right after another, NEVER do this, it becomes annoying and can get you in trouble.

the other day, I was in a game:

crowd: "ME!", "Prove it", "Yeah right", "Dupe this then [drops silkweave boots]"

*scammer begins showing everyone a second pair of silkweave boots*

*crowd begins screaming and begging for him to dupe their stuff while I continue to try and show them that there are more than one of any given item in a game*

scammer: dude, if you don' believe it [word removed] off!!!!!!!!!!1111111

me: show me more than 40 of a specific item and I'll believe you"

scammer: "STFU newb"

*people start leaving as this sort of conversation carries on*

last idiot that didn't leave: Holy shit dude, you CAN dupe. PLZ dupe these!

*idiot drops 4 socket valor, white ring, and 2 hexes (...I'm not quite sure why he thought he needed to drop the second hex either)*

me: "ugh"

*scammer grabs stuff, quits game*

idiot: WTF?! You guys stole my items, I'm reporting YOU to Blizzard

Dr.Kats ~ you have a trojan or a virus. the reason you could never get them to work is becuase They are a trojan/virus. when you double click the .exe file (dupe.exe) to start the program. it will seem as nothing has happened, or there will be an error message. please read the stickeys and figure out what to do. also learn about computers and the internet and forums and forum rules becuase you can and will piss people off the way you are going. please think.

Make sure you read how to use the stuff first as well. There is no such thing as an AUTODUPE! People pull scams like aquiring multiple soulstones, or dropping all their sojs to make you believe they have a dupe. There is no such thing as an Autodupe available, if you still don't believe me, E-mail me and I'll give you something.
