Okey for glitch rush ... Your in normal and your level 10 say and you want to get to nm
1. You go into a baal game were there doing the quest (to go to nm) and you just party with them and sit there in harrogath while they do the quest.

No you don't have to do it for ancients just baal thats it and you do that it nm same way.

Lol what you do is get to nm and then do chaos runs in hell. Its a pretty good way of leveling ,but you either have to have someone be nice to do it or pay them.

Ancient's quest isn't needed to complete an Act.

Another way to get to Hell difficulty, without using the glitch rush, is to go through Classic mode. There's no Ancients in Classic, so there's nothing to stop you from getting to Hell difficulty.

Just remember, though, that converting a character from Act 1 Hell, on Classic to expansion, will not necessarily mean he'll be Act 1 Hell Expansion. The game counts the amount of Acts you have completed. In order to be Act 1 Hell Expansion, you need to to complete 10 acts, which means you need to be in Act 3 Hell on Classic, before converting.

Exactly my point DM. I used to do that exact thing back in .09, but now in .10, its easier to just lvl to 24 before I even enter into Nightmare.

Aye, but it's one of the more reliable ways to get runes. Once set up, with a high level classic character, a hellforge rush can take somewhere around 30 mins. Me and a friend each use to do it at the start of season 2.

We both had two computers, with two copies of D2 running. I had the rusher, so that's 3 x lvl 1 characters getting to Hellforge in 30 minutes. After about a weeks worth of rushing, we had quite alot of Vex's, Ohm's, Um's and Ist's.

It takes 8 Ohm's to get a Ber rune.

Some people like to run Meph, Pindle or Baal over and over. Some like to run Hellforge.

As an extra bonus, your killing Haphesto on Hell repeatedly, one of the monsters in the game that has the best chance to drop the high runes like Zod, Sur, Cham, etc.
