Women in the military?

women should be allowed to do what they want to(as long as its leagal of course).not letting them be in the military and fight for thier country would be like back in the 1800s when they wouldnt let women vote.
there might be some things in life that you dont like to see ( like the names of women on pow lists) and you cant change that.

- These days everything is becoming more and more technological, this means that strenth ect is becoming less of a factor. Were not in the roman days where if your not strong enough you cant go into battle and it all decided who had the stronger army but these days some weedy pimpel faced guy/gurl could defeat a whole roman army whom would be a lot stronger than him/her(if he/she had a machine gun). Who knows soon no man will have to fight robots will be doing the fighting for us...

They should be allowed in if they pass the set requirments to get in. There should be no lowering of the bar if they can pass whats set now then there in if they can't there not. They should camp in the same tents as the men, if they don't like it to bad, there should be no special accomdations for anyone everyone should get the same treatment no special treatment and if they can't deal with that get the hell out.

I dont think noone's disagreeing with that, people speak of what the enemy might do to women but what your own side might do to them, your a only soldier... far away from home... your getting desperate... there's a easier chance of getting away with rape....

Which is a good point for the standard Army. However, once you get to the much more grueling special warfare/ behind enemy lines missions, it is much more different. It should stay how it is, not letting women participate in it. The physical/mental strain is too much for most men, let alone a woman*.



* - Once again, not sexist. Men are physical stronger, if not mentaly.

As i said before women are as capable, history prooves it. A single all female Russian sniper batalion of 250 women killed 10000 Germans during the war. We didnt have a lot of those batalions but they did good work and today then they dont have to be as strong as they had to before because of the tech i say they do fine job the same way they did it before. Besides what are you afraid of? For US army going to war is like going to vocation, atleast it should be, US army wasn't in anything dangerous seens vietnam. All that shit people talking about heroics of US military in Iraq is what it is, shit. So a couple of them die now and then, in Chechnya every day 18 year old kids who are just out of school and were forced into the military die, by... i want to say hundreds but its not true anymore, by douzens is better, so they die but they kill the enemy, they dont have a lot of food, ammunition yet they kill those Chechen bastrards by hundreds a day, i will join them in 3 years, and die fighting or see the victory of my people over Chechnya, they think they can hide in the mountains, but not anymore, now that our military is getting back on its feet it makes them drop like flies. Russian military is far from regainning its former strength but at least we moving, it is looking good and the future is bright for RF military. Makes me want to sing the national anthem, drink vodka, and make nukes, to you my speech probably means nothing, but to clear you of any illusions, i dont care.
