Why cant I Connect To Battle.net????

When i click on battle.net, it says connecting, then it gets stuck at connecting to the fastest server and then after a few mins it says unable to connect?? Anyone got any ideas???

okay i had the same porblem its either u got ip restricted for 24-48 hours or you can try this http://www.blizzard.com/support/?id=aInformation0633p1 and download that battle.net list thing into ur d2 directory, after that click on it and run it. Then try the d2 again. If it isnt working then u probably got restricted. btw is it only 1 realm or for all of them?

Doubht d2loader cuz d2loader dont work nemore, just reinstall d2, that worked for me, it turned out it was some stupid worm><

well i would definately check to make sure diablo II.exe is allowed to make outgoing and incoming connections and isnt being blocked

I dont think its the firewall, i disabled it and permited all outgoin and incoming connections from bnet, and still no luck. WtF..

what firewall? i would still look in the configuration for it to make sure Diablo II isnt blocked - zone alarm will still continue to block blocked content EVEN when disabled im not sure about any others

aTM im using Nortons, i have it set to permit all Diablo related connections. Thats what i dont understand. I use to have this problem with Mirc and i fixed that so. Im so Confused and pissed!

Yup, and to make sure i just did it again. Still nothing. Im gunna start unblocking shit.

try completeling uninstalling your firewall then connecting to bnet

i did, i disabled my entire firewall, and still no connection. Could it be a pop-up blocker lol. Or could it be aurareco.exe that Norton is blocking???

well if it were me i would uninstall the firewall (not just disable it) and if that didnt work i would either e-mail blizzard and wait atleast 1 week for a reply
or format (formatting would probably be my 1st choice)

actually i just had a decent idea heh are you using windows xp? and if so how long ago did d2 stop working?

Yes i am using windows Xp, and d2 stopped working like 3 days ago. might of stopped earlier tho because i just reinstalled diablo and it hasnt worked since i re installed.
