lol, so u make vultures vs zerg? Defilers vs zerg? Firebats vs terran?Valkyries vs a hydra-lurker? DT rush vs a zerg? Science vessels vs terran? Scouting is by far the most important aspect of starcraft, there is no way u can deny that. How are u going to know where the enemy expands, run around the map with ur entire army and search for hatcheries? How are u going to counter a 6-pool rush, use 3 of ur mining SCVs to block the ramp just in case he rushes? Are u going to make marines just in case he randomed to zerg? Are u going to send all ur units to attack without scouting his defences? U will be dead in 5 minutes if u dont scout, u even have to scout on zero clutter and BGH.

Wrong!! I have won plenty of games without scouting and most of them were on LT. Like I said in one of my other post " I was born and raised on LT". I know almost every little detail about that map so I don't have to worry about scouting for expo's and I don't rush so I would have the defense to stop a 6 Ling rush.

And I will use every unit against any race if I have to.

There is no way of knowing every detail of LT. Of course u can learn the map, but no games are the same. By scouting for expos i dont mean minerals, i mean that a zerg player will have 10 bases in late game and u have to know where they are. And making e few of every unit in all MUs is just stupid, and u will probarbly lose do to the cost.

I agree. Dont just mix whatever units. You should know what you opponent is making then build the counters for it

I make SCVs until 8 or 9 supply (depends on MU), and then i make a suply depot. When the depot is done i scout with the SCV. It is important to get it into the enemy's base and keep it there as long as possible, chech what buildings he is making and that way see what units he is making. For example, if he gets dual starports he will most likely get wraiths so u need turrets. If he early expes vs toss u could kill him with zealots + probes, but if he lings fast u should block ur ramp and stay defencive for a few minutes. Just a few examples...

Scan sweep is an awsome method of detedting, although you can't do it sooo many times, it is still the best method of finding out about the enemies base (safely)...

science vessels are also awsome, w/irradiate

I'm gonna have to go with protoss. I like the cannons and the observers also being cloaked. But Zerg comes in second because of the overlords and sunken and spores. And Terran in third, it might be because i don't like Terran that much. But i don't think their detection is as good.

how do u hot key the comstat biulding is it control and number while u have it higlighted????

Click on the comsat addon. Then click and hold down ctrl then press a number 1-0 on the number keys above the characters. Then press that number agan (without ctrl) and you'll have your comsat!

i think zerg is the best b/c overlords dont need energy or need anything building beside the Hatury/Lair/Hive to make em.overlord are kinda fast make too

- Terran = Comsat, Pros: Cannot lose any units while using it and is always readily available.
Cons: None. Besides it is a building

Science Vessel, Pros: Spellcaster (Irradiate, EMP and Defensive Matrix). Flying unit, very mobile. Has enough health to survive a beating.
Cons: Costs alot of gas.

Turret, Pros: Anti-Air building. Easy to tech to and very cheap.
Cons: Shitty health and dies mega quickly.


- Zerg = Overlord, Pros: No teching needed and are food supply so you will always have some available. They can transport. 200hp.
Cons: They are hunted early by Corsairs and Wraiths. They are the food supply so if you lose one, it hurts.

Spore Colony, Pros: 400hp. Fires very fast. Costs 125minerals. Anti-air.
Cons: Not-so-good range. Only 15 damage.


- Protoss = Photon Cannon, Pros: Hits both air and ground which deals 20 damage. Excellent for guarding small expansions.
Cons: Dies quickly. Only 200hp. And costs 150minerals.

Observer, Pros: Permanently invisible, excellent for scouting. Hidden from enemies when attacking. Very small. Cost is non-expensive.
Cons: Minimal hp. 75gas to build.

THE terran detector is the best cause it can do its own magic and has its own abbiltys whish are helpful

Defenatly the science vessel; for its abilitles

In my opinion its the science vessel for its emp shockwave and irraditate.... (stupid Zerg) and (emp shockwave has helped alot with people who crowd themself in with cannons...NUKE IT!!!)

but theis is off topic because its the best detector

Use defensive matrix on a ghost. And then nuke. This will usually only work on non-money maps because your opponent wont have as many detectors/units.

Cloak will allways be better than matrix when nuking. A single tank with no upgrades can kill a ghost with matrix in 6 hits, and u need 20 seconds to nuke.
