As little as possible (i.e. not at all). If I do study, it's usually only for end of the year exams.The real question here should be something in the lines of: How much time do you study per day?

Also, the way GPA works is something like this:
A (in AP classes)=5.0
A=4.0
B=3.0
C=2.0
D=1.0
F=0.0
But it varies for different grade percentages (I think). But basically to get your GPA, you convert letter grades to numbers, add them together, then divide by the number of grades.
