A survey was taken by kids from ages 14-20 and it asked what time of the day they smoked weed. most ppl said around 4:00-4:30. it was later specified that it was more like 4:20. this is just what someone told me. but since 4 20 in addition is actually a day, it is the day that ppl smoke weed more. this is just word of mouth though

Well, there arent 420 active chemicals in weed, it's not bob marleys birthday, it was never the police code for smoking weed. the true origin lies here:

it likely began at San Rafael High School in California in 1971 when a group of friends regularly scheduled a time to meet in front of a campus statue of Louis Pasteur and smoke dope.

Different codes for different areas. Asked the resource officer at my school and said it's 357.
