The Beatles are so over-rated. The lyrics are so acid-drenched I fail to see how they're inspirational. The only really good song I can think of is Imagine, and that's pretty much just Lennon.

I would say that Dylan is 100x more inspirational than the Beatles. That goes for the Dead too. Uhm, plus like...every band. Ever. The only thing the Beatles inspire you to do is drugs. I'm not really qualified to say who's the MOST inspirational ever though.

The band that started rock...? They started the British Invasion, which is hardly all of rock. In fact, the Beatles weren't even in existence when the term "rock and roll" was coined.

EDIT: Besides, how does any of that make them inspirational. I think you guys are confusing inspirational with influential.
