what do you think were/are the most inspirational bands of all time? in my opinion, the ramones, the sex pistols, minor threat, nirvana, and nine inch nails.

the ramones and the sex pistols basically got punk off the ground, giving it a renewed sound and getting more people interested into the rebellious music.

minor threat i think was one of the first bands to be "straight edge", and the emo influence came from the singer. both emo and straight edge are two things i cant stand even now, but i love minor threat.

i dont think i need to say why nirvana and nine inch nails was/are inspirational or influential.

The beatles definitely.

The cure for inspiring many gothic bands.

LOL!

I forgot about Black Sabbath (Ozzy :X). I remember seeing something about them and Ozzy saying that they said "People like horror movies, and people like music..so why not make horror music?". They started THAT trend that keeps on keepin on. ^^;

Black sabbath invented wat is now known as metal. theres no way that anyone who knows anything about music could not say them. other then that all the basics have already been said.

Brian Eno. He is not a band:D but he is the *father* of electronic music.

I do indeed like Nike. However I like the slogan "Just do it" it so simple yet so great. A lot of people can't exercise because they think about the work. Yet the slogan "Just do it" is telling you not to think about and just get out there and run/bike/or whatever.
