I have to agree with you on that. The Frieza Saga was like watching a movie, especially as they continued to battle as Namek was about to explode.

After that, it should have just died.

dragon ball z was suppose to end at frieza since originally toriyma wanted to answer the SS question. then the fan base wanted more so we got one saga squeezed in. then another. then it eventually became one of the well most anime around the world influencing weak sauce anime creators.

Negative. After the Cell Saga it started to suck. The Cell Saga is regarded as one of the BEST anime arcs of all time. but some of the most notorious sites and critis. Seriously, it rocked hard. The father was surpassed by the son, and the world was safe from the threat and everything was ok.
