those who are bashing on the game obviously havn't played the game.

i say it's for the better. let them stay in their little closet of 1999 games that are the only things left that appease them and their high standards.

because if theres anything we've learned, it's that games have all gone to hell since starcraft, right?
Except all MMos are the same, pointless money wasters. Some just are slightly better/ less obnoxious, but doesn't change that fact.

To be honest I can't really say anything about the gameplay as I've yet to get it to work.

It's all because of a colour depth problem that I am working out.

See, 32bit colour depth in actually doesn't exist. Yet that's what Windows reports 24bit as. So it checks to see if I'm set to 32bit, when my OS reports 24bit. Meaning problems.

I bought it since I had nothing else to play. My desktop PC is barely a year old and it can only play this on low with a constant of 20-25 fps. You have to have like an amazing PC to play it on high to get models to look like that. Everything is broken and after you get past 20 it gets pretty ****ty. A lot of the classes are extremely broken or useless, every class has tons of unexplained, broken, or massively underpowered or useless feats. Some of the zones freeze on you (one in particular if you have sound/music on IDK why?), content disappears after 40, auction/bank are disabled, tons of glitches, and each zone is instanced (including small houses wtf) and alot of the zones are small and a quest will ask you to kill 30-40sh of a mob when theres only 6-7 of the spawn and other people needing the same. Don't consider grouping for it either because alot of the quests aren't giving everyone credit, but only the first to kill or something.

Leveling is SUPER fast and combat is really, really easy. I'm level 51 and I've been playing very casually. Everything about this is easier than WoW and if it's an aspect that's not easier then it's probably glitched or disabled. If thing don't imrove DRASTICALLY I don't think I'm going to play past my free 30 days. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one thinking this. The forums (accessible by members only) are full of nothing but complaints.

Do keep in mind that the game is similar to WoW's release, if not better.

Of course when MMO's first come out they're going to be plagued with bugs, but all that should matter is how fast (or not) they fix these things.

And you don't really need a beast of a machine to play it. My desktop PC is 4 years old and the only thing I changed from stock was adding 2 more gig of ram, which turned the game from running at 4 (LO****ING L YES FOUR) FPS to about 30 before I ****ed around with the settings. As long as your computer can handle the install it should just about be fine. Just takes a while of messing around with the advanced settings to make it better. Hell, I just tried and I can run at a constant 50fps with a machine that has a 2.0duo processor and a 6600gt graphics card. One of which is significantly lower than the required.

But yeah, some of the classes are apparntly useless or just completely underpowered (Herald Of Xolti for example, and I'm talking in the first 20 levels it's clear and apparnt) and the endgame content is at a next to none basis -- but then again, what did WoW have endgame when 1.0 was out?

Give it time, 6 months from now and it'll be a very solid, very amazing MMO. The combat system / speed alone makes up for a lot of the bugs imo. I got to 31 with a HoX, and early 20's for 2 or 3 of the other classes (Conquerer, Barbarian, Demonolgist) and I've yet to be bored of the game like I was with WoW so early on.

no its just not every1 is as cheap as u pan
unintuitive one click combat system?

Running around for hours over bleak, padded landscapes?

Grinding? Doing the same thing over and over for 10 hours straight?

killing "certain # of units" for random NPC?

Spending X number of dollars every month which is always greater than Y; if Y is a reasonable amount to charge?

Every MMO is the same, only differing in the fine details, probably the races or the back story, little reason to pay to play, let alone play at all.

and if you knew what you were talking about, you would reemmber that first person shooters also blend well with other genres, making each one unique in it's own right.

And paying OUNCE is different than paying EVERY time you want to play the game.

And stop trolling
