Do keep in mind that the game is similar to WoW's release, if not better.
Of course when MMO's first come out they're going to be plagued with bugs, but all that should matter is how fast (or not) they fix these things.
And you don't really need a beast of a machine to play it. My desktop PC is 4 years old and the only thing I changed from stock was adding 2 more gig of ram, which turned the game from running at 4 (LO****ING L YES FOUR) FPS to about 30 before I ****ed around with the settings. As long as your computer can handle the install it should just about be fine. Just takes a while of messing around with the advanced settings to make it better. Hell, I just tried and I can run at a constant 50fps with a machine that has a 2.0duo processor and a 6600gt graphics card. One of which is significantly lower than the required.
But yeah, some of the classes are apparntly useless or just completely underpowered (Herald Of Xolti for example, and I'm talking in the first 20 levels it's clear and apparnt) and the endgame content is at a next to none basis -- but then again, what did WoW have endgame when 1.0 was out?
Give it time, 6 months from now and it'll be a very solid, very amazing MMO. The combat system / speed alone makes up for a lot of the bugs imo. I got to 31 with a HoX, and early 20's for 2 or 3 of the other classes (Conquerer, Barbarian, Demonolgist) and I've yet to be bored of the game like I was with WoW so early on.
