Back in 1.10 before I quit D2 I decided I'd make a hammerdin because everyone loved them so much and they apparently did really good damage. The problem was that I didn't have much gear. I had some BFers who I played with that gave me some gear, but it wasn't you know..really good. Vipermagi, etc. Not the greatest gear, right?

Well I saw that a lot of people were rushing for forge so I decided to give it a go. Since I hap Maphack, and maxed Vigor (hammerdin synergy) it was fairly easy to do. I rushed for NM forges..only a few at first. I got Ists, Ums, etc. Traded them for gear and better runes, and eventually I was able to get my hammerdin so good of gear that he was doing 9k+ damage and never running out of mana or dying. I also had a bunch of extra shit that I got in trades and I was rich with a good character.

So..just make a hammerdin, rush for NM forges, trade runes, and enjoy your riches!

I know..I'm awesome. (Yes I know I didn't make this idea up. I just wanted to let some of you in on it it.)

i've rushed about a million people in nightmare, and never once found an ist off their forge, um was the highest. You luck bastard, lol j/k

Rushers dont beat the classic MF'n Sorcs.. I hate rushing people for Forges 70% or the time you get scammed.. And the drop is shitty.. I dont think Ist can be droped in NM Forges.. Um is highest :hbut

That and also the fact it takes damn long in act 2 to do the quests for them. It would be real easy with an mh, but now that d2 has warden, time spent do runs would probly yeiled more stuff.

Oh ya I forgot that I was doing Hell forges after I got better gear with the NM Ums, haha. And I posted this to give people a break from MFing with a sorc. That's so tiresome. At least forge is quick. Not to mention *WING AZN PANTS* I posted this to let nubs know that sorcs aren't the only ones who can rush. ^^;

too ez to do. drop 2 terror keys. sounds too simple for me to do... i would rather waist my time boosting that i got scammed than try to look like i am da bomb.

and i never get scammed, so it would be a lie.

as for the rush.

hammer is so that you get a lot of money fast, the nm part was just so that you knew what you could do if you are not rich.

with my hammer that had the best gear you could get. and with mh. i was able to do a hell rush ez. took a like 10 min. tops.

best gear for hammer:

enigma
p mara
shako
p hoto
any boots of your choice (i use war trav for the mf)
magefist
zak or if you like to call it hoz
2x soj or bk (use bk due to not poofing)

and last but not lieast

arach aka arachnid mesh

i was going to start a rush business for forge for a little while now, but trust isnt one of my strong points. the couple times in my d2 career i rushed it was for items up front only.



do any of you regulars have any strategies to make sure you are the one that gets the forge drop? or do you have to hope you pick up rune before they manage to?
