Fastest way to learn is to look at other maps and if you truely are a fast learner than you should be able to get the hang of it in a week or two.

That's exactly what I've been doing. I'm slowly learning the differant types of triggers. My goal is to be a very helpful.. helper on these fourms.

Tell me if you find any maps with variables, because im completely clueless in finding out how they work.

Your welcome and another neat way to learn is to start a new map and pick one thing you want to happen and try to write the trigger for it. Trial and error.

for a map with variables... FF open RPG is unprotected (before 4.0 neway) and is one of the most well made maps ive ever seen. has tons of variables.

EDIT: i just messed around for a while and i have the genral idea of how variables work... cant do much besides integers but its a start and i didnt look at another map to figure it out... just took a long time
